“Stayed in the Sierra House/apartment. Space was perfect for family of 5. Very clean, full stocked kitchen, lots of hot water, awesome leather set in the living room, full dining room table, good wifi. Master has queen, second room has daybed w/ trundle & separate full w/ attached bath. Plenty of storage and blankets and linens. Stairs are a bit steep, would NOT recommend for small children. Full washer/dryer. The place could definitely use new mattresses on all beds, worn and could feel the springs, only reason for the four stars. Otherwise cute and quiet space. Would love to go back, but can't sleep on those beds tho.”

“Fantastic stay. We loved this adorable bed and breakfast. The rooms are spacious and the fireplace is such a lovely touch. It’s close to lovely restaurants and coffee shops. Joanne and Greg were the perfect hosts and their weekend cooked breakfast was delicious. The best French toast we have ever tasted. They were so helpful and loaned us a local hiking book and gave us lots of recommendations of things to do and places to see. Don’t miss this lovely bed and breakfast experience.”

“We love this campsite. Not usually a whole lot of people. Good place for those parents of little kids because the nearby water is a mostly shallow creek. Not a fishing spot. Plenty of big shade trees.”

“Nice Boy Scouts camping place. With many Merit Badges to work in. Some examples are shotgun shooting, climbing, archery, and life saving. Though there are many more. It may seem like a dream but it isn’t because of these following reasons. The tents cabins are a little dirty and small and have bugs. The showers have dead cockroaches but that’s not that bad. Wear shoes in the showers. The food is ok. But it’s actually pretty fun and it’s cool. The staff are all very nice and the campsites are beautiful.”

“If I ever had a rental, I would do it just like this. We have rented from many places up in Shaver Lake, but this by far has the most personal touches. You just know they put their heart into this place. Yes, spacious, just like everyone says (really though, it is so spacious!), but there are soap, shampoo, conditioner dispensers in all of the showers. Huge rolls of toilet tissue, lots of towels. I normally get nervous and bring alot of things from home, but food, snow toys and gear and clothes and you're pretty set. Thank you David and Dottie for sharing your lovely vacation home with our family. We've done this 9 years in a row and they all said this was their favorite rental.”

“I ate at the restaurant attached to the lodging, so I can’t speak for the cottages. Our server was really nice and the food was pretty good. We sat outside on the excellent patio where we had a great view of the lake while eating. I’ve driven by this place many times, but this was my first visit. Glad I stopped in!”

“This place is a gem. Very beautifully kept, easy access to the lake, right in town so you can grab supplies and what not, but don't feel like you're right down the street from everything. The camp hosts were so sweet and kept the bathrooms immaculate. I had to leave a day early because my dog had to be rushed to the vet, and before I was even done driving out of the campground, they had processed a refund for my last night-which I was not expecting at all. Thank you all so much, we'll be back!”

“Such a nice campground. Extremely clean and well maintained. Love the shower. I stayed here in early March. Lots of snow. Nights get cold down to 20F. Restrooms and Showers are soon warm. Lots of wood around to make fire. Kakonee fishing was awesome.”

“This was the best experience for it being the first time that my family and I vacationed in a cabin. It had everything we needed and much more. Erich was very informative and helpful. No disappointments what so ever! We would definitely do it again!”
