“Reading Cinemas is a good theater, probably the busiest theater in Bakersfield. The price of a GA ticket is fairly priced, but if you can try to make a matinee showing to save some money. Snacks are expensive, I feel like I am dumping my wallet for a small popcorn, so if your hungry try to eat before. Now for the rooms, they were comfy and and had some space, but if you go see a busy movie expect to move your legs if someone has to pass as their is not a lot of in aisle walking space. One of things I really don't like is having to pick a seat before even going into a theater, maybe some might like this but it's not for me. Staff is always courteous and friendly.”

“As far as hotels go, this place is doing pretty well. It is one of the few hotels that has a bar and restaurant, even if the offerings are slim. It is nicely located near the mall, so if you need to do some shopping, it is working walking distance. The rooms are nice, I recently stayed in a single King suite. The entrance to the room is separated from the rest of the suite, and acts like an office of sorts. If you need to work from your hotel room, it would make an ideal makeshift cubicle. The bedroom was on the other side of the bathroom, so it was nice and quiet even with the TV in the front room on. The bed is nice and comfortable, and everything was fairly clean. Overall, this hotel is definitely on my "return visit" list.”
