(December 13, 2018, 4:14 pm)Great night views of Bakersfield. You do not need a 4 wheel drive but a vehicle with good ground clearance. There is not water so you will need to bring your own. No furnace but there is a stove for heat (bring carbon monoxide alarm). Steps are extremely steep. Firepit is adequate for cooking over. Also recommend bringing portable toilet as the walk to the toilet will become tiresome.
(June 28, 2016, 10:48 pm)Amazing spot. Totally unique, great views, away from everything and everyone. Less than 3 hours from LA, several swimming spots along the Kern River less than an hour away. Make sure you have a vehicle with good clearance.

Unbelievable views. Cozy beds.
