“This is a must see when in town!! So cute, was pleasantly surprised with how nice the museum is. There are interactive things for kids to do and places to take pictures. We were explained so much history by everyone that was there everywhere we went. Such a treat, thank you!”

“Small museum with very personable guide who knows his planes inside and out.... Tom is super knowledgeable to get info from and he flys all of the planes he owns. He owns almost all of them. And if you have time he has a second hanger with more planes. Give him a call and see what you can work out.... worth the trip.”

“Wonderful little museum full of local history which is fascinating. Barbara and Beverly were wonderful hosts while we were there and were more than happy to answer questions or just chat. They are very obviously lovers of Tehachapi so they're great at their jobs. If you're intrigued by local small town history like me, I highly recommend a visit. Also leave time to visit the Errea House across the street as well as the train depot a couple blocks away. You can also get lost in the many Antique and Vintage stores close by as well as the various restaurants. We can't wait to go back!”

“I enjoyed Stan's tour as part of the legacy of the museum. My grandfather was station agent from 1937 to 1961. This is one of my fond childhood memories. Stan made the history.come alive to me....”

“What a great find!! Did you know this air field trained over 11,000 war pilots!! Easy access for car or RV, this is a CA must see location! We stayed over night with Harvest Host in our RV. We were given a private tour of the museum which is actually in the original fire station for the air field. “Mike” took us us a tour of the entire air field!! We saw the workshop, original fire truck, hanger and a blimp that is renting space for a month! Plenty of memorabilia, models, uniforms and photos from the history of this base! Great job by the 100% volunteer staff!!”

“Great visit, inexpensive and comes with a short and sweet history bio of the buildings. They also got 2 good sized stores that sell some old school stuff. Spent a solid hour there enjoying ourselves. Good place for kids and grownups.”

“It was too hot to us to walk much of the grounds. However, what we saw was quite nicely done. There is a walk through museum and displays, a small gift store and a theatre with a 15 minute video. We've driven the highway for many years not stopping. We had some extra time. I'm glad we stopped. Enjoy your visit!”

He is very personable and full of stories. There is even a moving replica of the 20 mule teams of the past Great fun for the kids! Stop at the remarkable Air Museum next door.”

Address: 4201 Fort Tejon Rd, Lebec, CA 93243, USA
“Fort Tejon is an inexpensive and fun little historic stop where you can get out and stretch your legs. It's a self-pay honor system. As of 1/1/209 the day use fees were $3 for adults and $1 for children. It also has restrooms. Most of the original structures have been destroyed, but what is there is fun to explore.”
