“Nice to see coastal redwoods and palms together in the same place. Shady area to sit at near the pond. One of the best parts of the arboretum.”

“This is a beautiful park! It's very big, lots of nice paths to walk. Has great birds! See woodpeckers every time, swallows come in spring, seen mountain bluebirds, goldfinches, and more. Has lots of squirrels too. There is a public pool, lawn bowling, and more. I've loved this park since I was a teenager. I still try to stop every time I'm in the area. They just don't make parks like this anymore.”

“Nice park. Plenty of tables. Trails and even an outdoor church. WHY do they allow homeless to stay and trash this wonderful park ??? They need trash cans along the trails. Hopefully that would reduce the trash in the water.”

“Really fun trail. It’s totally under the shadows, the view looks different from sturtevant fall trail. You’re required to do some easy water crossing. Then you will high pass a dam, keep along the river, finally you will reach hermit falls. Hermit fall can let you play water or do water jumping. Bouldering to the bottom of fall is also exciting challenges”

“Really nice and amazing trail. It’s totally different from big road to Sturtevant Fall. How come didn’t I know this place. Coming in the afternoon, all the trail is under the shadows. When you reach the bottom of the canyon, you will hear the sound of water and see a big river with dam. Cross the river you will see the trail to the right. Keep going you will reach hermit Falls!”

“This is a great place to hike. There are plenty of camp grounds available and shaded trails. You will need a wilderness pass for the parking and be aware that the beginning of the trail is a steep drop into a canyon, which means its a steep uphill at the end. Our 7 year old made it up with his pack and plenty of encouragement. Bears are active in this area as well.”

“Great variety of trees and plants, with thoughtful arrangement that educates and delights. Paved walking paths are easy to navigate. Great for groups as well as individual families, including kids in strollers. Multiple parking lots along Baldwin are free. Gift shop has unusual items and books with helpful staff. Weekends and special events can be crowded. Peacock birds roam throughout so don't be surprised to have them come close as they have no fear of humans, but are mostly harmless.”

“Started hiking with two little kids (7 & 4 years old) at 10:45 am. First 0.5mile down hill was easy. Next 1 mile uphill under shadow was also nice. Arrived at the falls at 11:35. Since we were waiting for rain, there were good amount of water at the falls. had lunch and back to parking at 01:00PM. It was kids friendly hiking. Though a bit crowded and had to waitfor parking spot, overall 4stars hiking.”

“Visited this place on the 24th of December. A nice and peaceful place to spend half a day surrounded by nature. Do not miss the peacocks which you will spot immediately on entering the park. We unfortunately could not see the Lights Festival which is later in the evening, but the lanterns which occupy nearly half of the park were amazing and beautiful to watch even without the lights. The other things worth seeing are the tropical plants and a small waterfall which is a nice place for photos. Entry Fees is $9 per adult above 5.”

“Our family camps here many times with our son’s scout troop. They have a nice hike here. Wilderness building. Full use kitchen and bathroom for camping activities. Eating area. Not 200 feet are homes so close to civilization. Highly recommend even if just visiting for the day.”
