“Fantastic facility with great staff and a very large heliport. Highly recommend coming here with family, friends or even on a date. The view upon landing is just fantastic especially on the take-off it's like an adventure. Definitely recommend taking the helicopter can you have the opportunity.”

“Parsons Landing is a crazy pretty place to camp. There's pretty much nothing here - just fox boxes, clean pit toilets and fire pits. You can pay to have water and firewood delivered to your site which you should do. Previous campers have made wind shelters out of rocks at every campsite for your fire or to pitch your tent behind. If there's an earthquake you're probably gonna suffer a brain injury but what can you do?”

“The clam chowder was very good at a decent price. The fish tacos at $4 each were good as well, and cheaper than the competitors down the pier. Overall this quaint little place was well worth the visit.”

“My sister and I had fun parasailing while in Catalina. We met the boat on the green pier by the Fish and Chips place. We signed a waiver and the friendly crew took us out. We didn't go far before they started letting us fly. We paid extra for the SD photo card and got some great photos in high res. We even saw dolphins! That was so cool. It was breezy but not cold and it's surprisingly calm when you are up in the shoot. The take off and landing is exciting. It's safe but a thrill! We will be back. Thanks.”

“This is a very informative tour of the cove. The boat isn't glass bottom but rather has a several three foot by three foot windows in the bottom with bench seats around each window. The tour guide is very informative and pleasant but sort of hard to hear over the sound of the engines. The tour includes the option to buy a sack of fish food for $5. You can drop the food in to the water via a portal next to each window that stuff really attracts the fish. Some people on the boat were complaining about the cost of the food, but come on complaining about a single $5 bag of fish food that will make the tour better for your entire group while each person was holding $5 bottles of water?”

“Check-in was quick and efficient. I had some key issues which they promptly fixed. The room was clean and didn't have any issues. The balcony with a view of the ocean was fantastic. It actually had some chairs and a table. Breakfast was a basic plain bagel, some pastries, fruit, and cereal. While not inherently bad, I'd prefer to see some more variety with whole grains mixed in. They also had some dark roast coffee and a Keurig. I'll definitely consider it next time I'm on Catalina, but it didn't blow me away to the point where I'd immediately go back without researching other options.”

“Great, unique gifts to remember our Catalina Island trip. Yummy popcorn and cute displays! Also, a great stop on your way to the Casino or Descanso Beach”

“Rooms are cute and clean, hotel staff is kind and thoughtful. When we stopped to drop off our bag early on the morning of our arrival, the front desk staff called to check if the room was available and allowed us to check in way earlier than we expected, which was great. There is a partial view of the beach through our window, as well.”

“This was the best Boy Scout camp my boys went to. The staff was amazing, which is not surprising - I think they have their pick of employees. If you're planning to spend the summer working at a Boy Scout Camp, why would you not choose to do it on Catalina Island? The weather was beautiful, the facilities were slightly better than the other camps, and the range of merit badges was great. This is obviously a good place to work on the water-related badges. The sailing badge, in particular, was a good one to do here. We were there on a pretty windy week, so the kids had a blast with the sailboats. The overnight "war canoe" trip to Parson's Beach was amazing, and the older scouts really enjoyed the Rugged "E" program. Highly recommended.”

“Not much to do out here other than getting on and off the boats going to the mainland. Fishing off the pier in the night time is something fun that I enjoy doing with my friends sometimes. You can even throw a net over the side in the winter months and catch lobster.”

“$11 to transport my heavy scuba gear to and from casino point, and then they stored it free all day for me to explore the rest of the island. Great!”
