“Taqueria La Chilanguita Found this gem of a place tucked between a gas station and a beauty salon. Swung by on a Tuesday but they were closed, forgot that I read it in one of the reviews and tips. Not to be discouraged I came back to check out what's up with the near perfect rating. Got there before noon and I saw but one parking space available so I quickly eased into it. Walked inside and noted that out of the ten tables, 6 were occupied, one had a booster seat on top of the table, another was quickly taken by the man who walked in front of me so l had to take what's available. I sat on one end of two tables put together to form a long one I guess in case of bigger groups, not a lone diner like myself. The hostess didn't say anything though. It was a few minutes after, that I got a menu and decided on machaca con huevos. When the lady came to take my order I told her I wanted the machaca and pointed at the picture of a plate with what I presumed was shredded beef, two sunny side up eggs, rice and beans. She told me that was carne asada plate and the machaca con huevos is made with scrambled eggs, onions, tomatoes, and shredded beef. In the end I went for the carne asada plate. It didn't take long before my plate was delivered to me and I salivated at the aromas that assailed my nostrils. The beans, although a little on the runny side, was creamy, the rice was fluffy, both were so flavorful they were a meal by themselves. The carne asada was really good. Way back when, I was invited to my friend's house and her mom cooked carne asada and homemade tortillas. This carne asada and house made tortillas (3 of them that came in a warmer) almost brought me to tears, as they reminded me of my friend and her mom, both of whom I haven't seen in ages. I was trying to pace myself and look composed as I tried not to shovel the food as fast as I wanted to, being the only non-Hispanic customer wanted to look cute. Really good food makes me lose my mind sometimes. Lol. I had coffee with my big breakfast. Strong and hot coffee that came in a good sized mug, not those dainty little cups, and a cute little tin cup of creamer. It was a perfect accompaniment to my heavy meal. As I made my way to the cashier to pay, I noticed a glass case with a variety of pan dulce (sweet bread). Got a dozen to go and I got a vanilla and chocolate conchas for free. Wow what a deal. Fast and friendly service, no wonder they have a near perfect score. It may be due to the not so great parking area, but I wouldn't dock a star for that. This place has got my two thumbs up. I'll be back for the machaca con huevos.”

Maybe other stores have slightly shinier products and an embellished appearance. Perhaps, the quality is a tiny little higher, but not worth the much higher price. especially with inflation nowadays. In the end, it all ends up flushing to the same destination, when one wakes up in the morning.”

“Super good food. I used to like wanna grill and flame broiler a whole bunch. But this place is way better and they have have other food instead of just the chicken and steak bowls. We order 2 beef and chicken bowls and an order of egg rolls. Just plain amazing food. The rolls are super crunchy and tasty. The best I’ve ever had honestly. I’ve come about 3 times already and it’s consistently delicious 🤤. Considering the quality of the food I feel the prices are extremely fair. I live in Victorville and swing by every time we visit my mother in law. They also have boba a bento 🍱 meals. I would definitely recommend this place, I believe it’s an independently owned restaurant but I’m not sure.”

“The pickup window is rather responsive and efficient. However, I'm not sure about the parking situation and its design. It seems quite constricted to maneuver when there are multiple customers at the same time, or close to the rush hours. Luckily, the neighbors have sprawling of parking spaces, it works out. I have been to this fast joint a few times over the years, and mostly had no issues. Guess keeping the spirit of their heritage, brings out a touch of hospitality!”

“It was nice no wait. Service was fast, super fast. It was nice that it was not packed but people kept coming in to pick up orders. So don’t sit by the door all the cold wind kept coming in. I brought my daughter that is almost 2 they went above and beyond to make the experience great. The server brought my the high chair as soon as he seen us walk and seen him clean it even if it already looked clean. They brought me plastic spoons and small plates for me to us for my daughter. It was prefect and we really enjoyed our dinner. Not being rushed, great service and calm environment. I was a lot cheaper than than Sushiholics and we got way more food! We actually stop there before heading over here 45 minute weights, and they had about four tables with no one seated at them. Total spent $66 Note I did ask for extra ginger and wasabi and they had no problem with it. I hate having to as repeatedly for it at other place. Close.”

“Got hooked on Cane's when a co-worker brought some for potluck a while back. So glad they opened one close to the SGV area. Three days post grand opening, I swung by their drive though. The line wasn't that busy yet as it was just past 9 am. Got the Caniac combo, this came with 6 pcs chicken tenders, crinkle cut fries, slice of toast, coleslaw, Cane's sauce and large sweet tea to share with my sis and a sandwich combo for my son - 3 pcs of chicken fingers on toasted buns with lettuce and Cane's sauce, crinkle cut fries, and large lemonade. My son likes their coleslaw so I got a side order. Flavor was good, the was batter lighter than some, and the chicken itself was moist. The workers were nice and friendly. I got my receipt and you can request for the Caniac card for the rewards program. Their drive through gets packed, especially at night. Lines of vehicles snaking through up to the parking lot area. Still not that crazy like In and Out down the street.”

“This is a mixed review. Went to Baldwin Parks Panda Express Saturday night Oct 22nd about 9pm. I started to place my order. However, as I started to order the bowls. Some of the items I requested. Which was walnut shrimp, chow mein, and the ragoons. The associate said "we're out of that, we're out of those too". So I said really you ran out? She said yes. So I order the fried rice in the bowls. As I got to the window to pay I saw some walnut shrimp an employee was placing in a box. I ask the young lady her name was Ashley "wait you have walnut shrimp and she said yes it just came out. I said the lady that took my order said you were out. I then asked if they had chow mein and ragoons. She said yes, but they're cooking them and will be ready in about 5 mins. I said why didn't the lady that took my order just say that they were cooking and it'd be a little bit? I would've said yes I'll waited. Ashley apologized several times saying yes the other associate should of told you they cooking again my apologies. Ashley was very kind and remedied the problem. However, I feel the lady that took my order should of been the one to apologize. Anyways, like I said mixed review here. I'm writing this review to praise and thank Ashley for going above and beyond to make sure the customer (me) left happy.”

The only downside is that If you drive a large vehicle such as a large work truck parking can be difficult Depending on the time of day you go.”
