“Real Authentic Mariscos! Don’t be intimidated by the area. It’s definitely a hidden Gem in the wall. It’s a small location. You can always get it to go but I do recommend if you order non cooked meals; is that you eat them there. They have beer, Micheladas and Margaritas (they use the syrup flavoring fyi) The seafood was very good. Los mariscos estan buen rico. I tried this Mariscos de kung Pao. Wow, so much flavor. With the support of local black artists, and so many offerings within The Healing Arts Ministry, this place is most definitely a NEW FOUND HOME AWAY FROM HOME! Have been following their newsletter for many months familiarizing ourselves with what they offer and when we heard that there was a monthly open mic that definitely sparked our interests! Writing is an art form and it was such a pleasure to get on that stage and share our words with others. It was a quaint group with a little over 10 performers. We enjoyed the writing prompts and the time that we were given to jot down ideas. This event will be our go-to, as it is a safe, inclusive place to share our words with all. (Not only that, this open mic was different than the rest, in that the co-host was celebrating her bday.) If we're not mistaken her name was Shelly? EVERY WORD SPOKEN touched our hearts. The inspiration, the rawness, the depth...she combined it all in a way that touched every orifice of our being. We truly enjoyed the mixture of multi media compositions including: dance, music, fire, spoken word, digital flower visuals and the POWER OF THE SWORD. It was such an honor to experience this with her. HER ONENESS! HER CLARITY! HER PASSION! The journey in which she has partaken in, is one that we will never EVER forget! Her words we will never forget, each one wrapped around this body like the veins.COMPOUND WE WILL NEVER FORGET! Thank you THANK YOU for this gift. Thank you for reawakening our own self love! (The flowers that you gave to the audience members have been placed in the center of our altar, and will be dried and kept as a memory of you.) As Shelly says "Hovering near love is a habit not a vow. Heavy is the head that wears the crown. All my worst pain came from not trusting my truth." “It's been awhile since I've had a real quality burger. I almost forgot how satisfying they can be. The Fire Belly burger was pretty great. The potato bun, pickled Thai chilies and the arugula were perfect but the absolute star was the burger patty. It was cooked to a nice medium and I could tell that it was hand formed since it was not one of those overworked compacted beef pucks you get at a fast food burger place. The Pig N Fries were crispy, well seasoned and hot. The bacon, ranch and green onions on top just took this side above and beyond your regular side of fries. My girlfriend had the Cali Burger. It looked delicious as well. She really enjoyed it and said she would definitely want to come back to try a few more items on the menu.”

“Good food. The pupusas weren't greasy and had a good amount of cheese but I felt like it could have used more chicharron. I called in the order and they told me 20 minutes. I showed up 30 minutes later, paid, and had to wait another 30 minutes for them to tell me that they were out of one of the items I ordered. The prices on menu pictures I posted are outdated; prices definitely have gone up but there items are the same. As of 5/11/2021 the pupusas cost 2.99 +tax.”
