“I originally bought 2 t-shirts. One for myself and one for my girlfriend. Being on vacation from the Netherlands it can be quite a hassle paying with my debit card as I don't have a credit card. It is not clear which stores accept my Dutch ING debit card. When I ask the person behind the counter it is always, "Yes we accept debit card". Only to be greeted with the message "Declined". Luckily my girlfriends father had a credit card and jumped in to pay for me. When I got home I checked my bank account and noticed I got a charge put on reservation. This can be normal when your card declined so I thought nothing of it, however a day later the payment got through and my bank told me to go back to the store (I got charged twice). I explained my story to the staff and they were very friendly and supportive and immediately issued me a refund for the total amount! It is a shame I'm leaving otherwise I would definitely come back!”
