She ordered the chicken wrap & absolutely loved it! She said it was flavorful & fresh & that the lady who runs it was really sweet & friendly, she even got a hug! “Popped in for a quick breakfast, and everything was great! I ordered at the counter, and everything was delivered to my table quickly. My meal was fresh and hot. I had a veggie omelette, hash browns and two pancakes. All of which was tasty. There was plenty of parking in the lot, and I was able to get a table easily. The tables, floors and bathrooms were all very clean. They have a very brisk business of take out meals. My hiking group regularly eats nearby - but I prefer Fantastic Cafe for half the price. I’ll be back.”

“I love hot wings. Actually, I love anything spicy and chicken combined. I’d say that this Wing Stop joint is solid in terms of how they cook wings. I was actually quite excited for the Atomic wings because of all the challenge videos I’ve seen on YouTube. Im not sure if this joint is maybe being nice to customers for their health. But Atomic Wings weren’t as spicy as I thought (as you can see from the photo that I ate with El Yucateco, my favorite). But I’d say that because the base is so solid, it indeed is very nice with hot sauce combined!”

“I haven't had a submarine sandwich as good as this since I used to go to Jersey Shore as a child. This brought back a lot of memories! The meats were just the right thickness and the toppings, bread were very fresh for a late evening order. The person who took the order was very courteous and really went out of his way to make sure you were satisfied. I didn't eat the submarine right away. I had purchased it to eat on the plane back to NYC, but ended up eating it for lunch the following day. It was still fresh and delicious! I wish there were some franchisees in NYC. I would definitely be a regular customer!”

“The first taste I had was the lemonade that they blend with ice to make it like a frozen slushy. This was a delicious start to the meal and very refreshing on a hot day. I ordered the camarones al mojo de ajo, which is shrimp sautéed in a garlic sauce. It's in the specialities on the first page of the menu. The dish was perfectly prepared and presented. It was especially delicious with their house salsa mixed in. I don't get to say this often, but this was a pleasure to eat and enjoy. I don't live close, but I will be back.”

The hot sandwiches such as the meatball, chicken parm, sausage and peppers, and Cubano are all top tier and the cold sandwiches are made with more than enough toppings to satisfy a craving for an Italian sandwich like the Italian sub, turkey avocado, and cheese, or a prosciutto Caprese. They have coolers full of drinks and racks full of chips that are favorites and new ones to try! In addition, they have freshly made desserts like fresh baked cookies, cannolis, and gelato. In addition to everything that I've just said the other half of the building is a market so you can get groceries to take home to cook for your family. If you're in the South Bay or San Pedro, this is a must-try lunch and dinner spot!”

“Fantastic Cafe on Gaffey St. San Pedro is by far my favorite burger joint, including all of gourmet burger places too. Yes taste do count and yes they are good. But one key plus of this specific Fantastic Cafe place for me is the manner of workers. Fantastic Cafe workers are so nice, warm welcoming, and patient that it’s hard not to think positive about the whole chain. If you are with toddlers, they go extra miles, let you choose off-menu a la carte, and even suggest variations. They make sure that they can make the food that babies will eat!!! In terms of food, obviously I always eat double cheeseburger combo. But I do see a lot of people eat chili verde dinner plate as well :) Lastly, if you are coming from north of Gaffey street, make sure you turn on the second right into the parking lot. The first one is exit only, where drive thru cars come out.”

“Grabbed the wrong wallet, when I go bike riding..I have a wallet that has my ID and a few bucks...well in my haste I grabbed this wallet by mistake, the 2nd mistake I made was jumping on the wrong bus and ended up in downtown Long Beach instead of downtown LA. Had to wait for the bus heading back, saw Troy's Charbroil burger. I was short by 3 dollars but the very nice woman at the register let me be short. Well the Charbroil burger 🍔 was amazing. I just hope I can lose my way back to Troy's and pay full price with a nice tip. Thanks for the fabulous burger. I'll be back.”
