“Beautiful building and gardens surrounding. I went to visit the interiors but it was closed for a special occasion and it seems that you need an appointment. The website isn’t that informative for visitors but I would like to return.”

“I got these flyers from the library about the hours and the perks of having a library card. The staff is nice and the building has great AC. There are free books outside for who want them. I like that most of the people I saw inside were college students like me, working on homework.”

“What is there to say about VKC? It's like reviewing.. water. You use it all the time, don't think of it much, and probably take it for granted. But VKC deserves some credit for the many memories you'll develop here. Many liberal arts classes call VKC home. I took language classes (Chinese and Korean) here, as well as a history class and several others I'm not remembering right now. The building is unlocked at night, so you can come in after 7 or so to study. Plenty of other people have the same idea, though, especially around finals, so you may have to look elsewhere. There's always the library. You can also book rooms here for student organizations; it's a popular location given the availability of rooms and the proximity to freshman dorms. Somewhere in the late 2000s or early 2010s they upgraded the furniture to comfortable, ergonomic chairs and clean white desks. They're very comfortable. Unfortunately, many of the rooms aren't large enough to accommodate the furniture. VKC was built when USC had far fewer students and, let's be honest, obesity has increased quite a bit since then. The facilities aren't exactly spectacular. The building feels worn-out, and the arches dated. The globe tower is a symbol of USC, though, and it's a nice way to get your bearings when you're lost in your first days of freshman year. Even if you're studying engineering, you'll probably spend time here working on your General Education requirements. You might as well enjoy it.”

“There are new computers and keyboards which I am glad to see. However, the only reason 5 stars isn't given is because the seats need to be replaced as well. It's uncomfortable using a computer in where one can't adjust the seat to accommodate posture. Other than that, good looking library. Staff member assisted me with the printer and wearing a mask was enforced.”

“This is a pretty good library, there are a lot of resources available for locals. There is a large selection of books, magazines, movies, and just about whatever else you want. The only problem I had was that it has dirty bathrooms and there are sometimes homeless guys sitting right in front of the doors asking for money.”

“Librarians were friendly and helpful. I carried announcements to our school of an event the library was holding for the children. The environment encouraged reading materials in various areas. We are blessed to have caring and stimulating library services on our neighborhood.”

“A must visit for book lovers and fans of beautiful architecture. Each floor has something to see; my favorite was the original Winnie the Pooh stuffed animals on the lower level. The gift shop also offers some fun and unique items. After perusing the stacks and ceilings, take a break in Bryant Park or take a pic with the twin lions.”

“I called this library to ask if they had a book available and after talking to the very helpful librarian on the phone I visited and had a library card, book, and smile on my face from the awesome service I received here from Karina ( sorry if I got your name wrong) and from having access to this great resource. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, clean quiet environment, available parking, all in all 5 stars. Thank you!”

“This Library, I would go to after school, at John Muir. Almost every day, I would use the computers when we first got internet for the general public, I would play, Magic School Bus game online. Never once did I think or to read and check out books but my mind was in the time of adopting the computer. I could of been Jeff Bezos, I could of been the avid reader and computer geek people were making front of and now work for. I wish to those who read this, especially to the young ones younger then 18, because when you turn 18, by law you can say, good bye to your parents and never look back, or you can become what your parents are, good or bad. Read books, adopt coding, and how things work and are. Read history, self-help books, biographies and anything you are inspired or brings your ideas to light. You are the future! Change, changes by one step at a time, but most importantly, it starts with you! - Rich Dad PS I am now reading more books then ever, and wish to have knew that books are the key to the door people shut.”

“This is my library for now, since my local branch is being redone. I can bus it, or walk, depending on if I need some exercise. It has that newish library look, but I think I'm just used to the schoolroom look my old branch had. The reserve system is great, and I've never waited more than a week for my books. I can usually find something else on my own here as well. They have a really good music/movie book selection surprisingly, and big anime collection.”
