I was lucky to be able to sign up for her postpartum series Body After Baby when I was six weeks postpartum, which was a perfect way to start being active again after giving birth. I still (and probably always will) think of the diaphragmatic breathing techniques she taught us, to properly engage the pelvic floor and core muscles before lifting and exerting effort. I feel so much more confident in my abilities during other yoga and group fitness classes now, especially when the instructor may not cue accordingly.
