Fried Pork Intestine - again, Crispy and juicy without the chili overpowering the sweetness of the intestine 3. Fried Pork Kidney - Spicy and oily just how a Chinese pork kidney should be. “Almost the best hotpot restaurant in the North LA area. Even much better than those franchise hotpot in the East LA area. We went for lunch and could get a free tea as the lunch special. For offering, we could choose different proteins and the different soup base as well as some more add-ons. It's also free to take the sauce at the sauce bar. We ordered the seafood combo with Tonkotsu base, the beef rib with the kimchi base and the beef slices with the curry base. There are many nice bases to choose from. The beef ribs are so huge for the combo, they are too tender and nice with the hotpot. At every Hotpot, there would be full of vegetables and some other small things for customers to enjoy a rich taste. Also the snacks like fries and popcorn chicken are nice! The price is really awesome with such good food quality! The store is decorated well with a nice design. Personally speaking I love the window at the ceiling to let sunshine coming in! Really awesome for dining here.”

When you decide to go to Hot Wok the first thing I want you to know is that all the staff is super friendly. Everyone will talk to you and make you feel truly welcome. As for the food, my wife and I started off with gyoza. It was perfectly fried as they had a nice crunch. My wife had the egg drop soup and I had the hot and sour. Both soups had great flavor but I preferred the hot soup. As for our meals my wife went with the cashew chicken lunch special. This dish had a truly great flavor. The contrasting textures added a great dimension. I went with the fried pork chop in Peking sauce. I am truly a fan of pork chops, especially fried. They were perfectly fried, they were tender and with the sauce a little messy but we’ll work it. I can’t wait until my wife and I can go back to try something else.”

“So, as always, I like to write a review of my first visit to a place. I was greeted by the manager and other employees as soon as I opened the door and entered. The ambiance is warm. laid-back and, of course a welcoming art deco flair. The prices are surprisingly affordable and in large portion. I ordered the Mediterranean chicken sandwich, and I had no clue it came with a side of tangerine salad. The sandwich was delicious, and yes, it comes in two reasonable pieces, so I had enough to take home. I award Carmen, Eduardo, Alejandro, Maria, Jaciel, Carolina, and Gina 5 stars for their outstanding VIP service in addition to the delectable cuisine and the cleanliness of the whole restaurant! 5 stars to the manager whom gave acknowledgment to all his team members when I had asked for who to thank.
