“The chicken wings really do it for me here. The brick toast is also good. The flavored teas here taste better than their milk drinks. The large drink size are huge, will not fit in my car's cup holders. They are quick at preparing the food & really nice.”

“Had their pepperoni pizza with mushrooms. It was good. We also had their meatball sandwich which I give a two thumbs up. The bread was very fresh. The fries were on the spicy side but tasty. They have a big screen tv and for sports fans they had a hockey game on.”

Poki Island

Address: 368 N Lemon Ave ste b, Walnut, CA 91789, USA

Restaurant

“Customizable poke bowl restaurant in Walnut. They’re open for takeout during covid (closed on Mondays) and you can place your order online via their website. They give you a choice of free egg rolls or edamame once you hit an order minimum (we went with the egg rolls). They do accept credit cards. Parking is easy as it’s located in the Vons parking lot. There’s a bathroom inside although it’s currently not available due to covid. Food wise, I like the range of options that Poki Island provides. You can pick two scoops of fish (my sister and I both got ahi tuna and salmon) plus a variety of toppings. Note that the spicy tuna is the paste kind, not the chopped up fish. For the base, there’s white rice, brown rice, and salad. The salad tasted like the mixed greens from Costco. They’re generous with toppings and they were nice enough to put my order in a large bowl so that it would be easier to eat. The house sauce tastes slightly sweet and is good although I wish they put more in the bowl. They did mix up my sister’s order for crispy onion with crispy garlic though, so I’d suggest just taking a quick peek before leading to make sure everything’s in good order. Overall the prices are fair (definitely not cheap though), the food is fresh and healthy, and there’s plenty of options to suit a range of palates.”
