(October 13, 2019, 2:37 pm)I've been at Redemption Hill Church for at least 19 years. The theology is sound, sermons are excellent and the worship is heartfelt. If I were a 19-year old teenager in a loving family doing it's best to love each other and grow me into a loving responsible Christ follower, I'd have many wonderful memories of my family. I'd also have memories of growing up that were painful and might give my family a 4, 3 or 2 star rating during those difficult passages. This is standard for the human condition in any community/family. I've been a member of four churches, my family of origin, and my own family and always serious issues arise that call for course/heart corrections and weathering difficulty until growth, healing and healthy relationship is restored. All of this is recorded in the book of Acts and most all of the Epistles in the early church. I love RHC and the continuing godly transformation I and others experience in community together. For the sake of context, I'm 71 and have been a member in four churches in my 48-years in Christ. My growth has been dependant on recognition of my own flawed sinful perspective/behaviors, heartfelt repentance and earnest dependence on the Holy Spirit to change me. Unfortunately, that typically involves being or causing hurt/disappointment along the Way of becoming conformed to the image of Christ. This is Life in community in an otherwise wonderful church. (February 23, 2017, 12:06 am)The teaching here is very solid and people truly love the Lord. Seeing many are serving not only the widows and the needy but the community as whole likes hosting the cold weather shelter and contributing Hope L A, I know they take Jesus calling very seriously. Thank you for giving my soul a refuge.
(January 5, 2017, 9:08 pm)This is a wonderful place, its obviously a BIAS review since I attend this church, but honestly it's a great place to hear God's word, lots of BIOLA people attend here including professors. I can say that if you are looking for a perfect place, this is not it, we all have flaws in our lives and with those flaws we tend to make things worse. As Mahatma Gandhi said it once. “You must be the change you want to see in the world.”
I hope that if you visit and if its your 1st time, you would look me up to say Hi. God Bless.

Our plan is to start Redemption Hill Church late this coming fall and, are you ready for this, for the church service to take contemporary Christian worship and blend it with hip hop, and also incorporate a DJ on Sunday mornings. I'm sure the religious people wont be a fan, but we don't really care.
