Smalley Cove Campground

“Very nice tucked away camp ground fairly easy to get too and a short drive from Clovis. The gate is only open from dawn to dusk though so keep that in mind when coming here. This is a managed Campground also with a administrator on site who was friendly but not overly strict like other site admins have been in the past. Dave I think his name was. Me and a few friends stayed here for 3 nights during the week and we were the only people here the entire time which was great. Really enjoyed the lake and scenery. For us it was 30$ a day for the group because we had 3 cars with the site being I think 20$ a night Lots to do nearby also with hiking and another smaller lake up in the hills nearby which gives amazing views of the lake itself! Not much firewood available on the ground as the place is well kept so make sure to plan ahead and bring your own firewood otherwise you'll be mostly stuck with damp rotting wood haha”

Lakes RV & Golf Resort

Address: 5001 E Robertson Blvd, Chowchilla, CA 93610, USA

Rv park Campground Park Lodging

“Extremely clean and well maintained. Next door to golf course to which you receive 2 rounds per day at check in. Very secure as pass keys are needed everywhere!! Washrooms and laundry were excellent. The dog park was tiny!! Some people had not cleaned up after their pet so it was also dirty!! That was the only downside though.”

Madera Sunrise Rotary Sports Complex

Address: 1901 Clinton St, Madera, CA 93638, USA

Park

“A very relaxing place if it's not occupied with tournaments. Decent amount of parking but the park extends very far and the softball fields are towards the east.”

Millerton Large Group Campground

Address: Friant, CA 93626, USA

Campground Lodging Park

“Pros: 30 minutes from town so super convenient. They have actual flushing toilets and sinks up the road which I highly recommend. There's an ampitheatre for group activities. Can hike and fish with any age. Lots of parking! Trailer accessible. Free dump site for your trailer. Cons: each campsite doesn't have a fire pit. Actual dirt area in campsite is very small. No soap in the bathrooms, and the porta potty in the actual campsite smells horrible. Saw multiple HUGE turantula spiders and had coyotes in our campsite. Overall was okay for a quick getaway though.”

Yosemite RV Resort

Address: 34094 CA-41, Coarsegold, CA 93614, USA

Campground Rv park Real estate agency Park Travel agency Lodging Store

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and had slide issues. The park worked with us until we could get a repair. The bathrooms were clean and close to the sites. Location is great for big rigs if you are planning on going into Yosemite. Like others have mentioned, the sites were not very level and not well groomed. Also, sure numbering was confusing for most of our neighbors when arriving. No host to help people find their site. It is very “rustic” compared to many parks.”

Rock Creek Campground

Address: Minarets Rd, North Fork, CA 93643, USA

Campground Park Lodging

“Breaks my heart to see this amazing place closed. My Uncles started a campout after returning from Vietnam. We've all camped there every Veterans day weekend since. Unfortunately it burned down and all our history with it. This is sacred ground. Hopefully they will rebuild it so we can continue our tradition.”

Arena RV Park

Address: 203 S Chowchilla Blvd, Chowchilla, CA 93610, USA

Rv park Park Lodging

“I have worked across the United States with my job and always stay in my RV while away from home working. I have stayed in a lot of RV parks along the way, not all of them were that great. I have been here at Arena RV Park since February of 2022 and will be for another 6 to 8 months. I have to honestly say that it has been an absolute pleasure to stay here. It is directly off of Hwy 99 in Chowchilla so it convenient for travels to pull into to for an overnight stay. With that said, for being close to Hwy 99 as it is you would think you would hear a lot of traffic noise. If you are outside you will hear some but in while in your RV you hear nothing. There is a train track near so you will hear the train but it only passes a couple of times a day so it's no big deal. The shower house/bathrooms are clean and well kept as is the laundry room. The only draw back to the laundry room is no change machine so you will have to go elsewhere to get change before doing laundry. The mangers are very friendly and helpful as well as everyone that I met here. I would highly recommend this RV park if you will be working in the area, in the area for a few days or even if just travelling through.”

Lions Town & Country Park

Address: 2300 Howard Rd, Madera, CA 93637, USA

Park

“It is a nice park, very quiet but I think It need to be preserved better from the city and from the citizens. Walking around I found trash in different places, expecially in the water. Restrooms are dirty most of the time and some areas the grass is dieing. Need more maintenance!”

Pan-American Park

Address: Madera, CA 93638, USA

Park

“The park has just recently been renovated. It has many new games for children to play. The playground is equipt with two separate playground in the same are for two different age groups. It has a side for the babies and toddlers to play in and also a separate playground for the bigger children to play in. The park also has a set of basketball courts, volleyball polls for playing and clean bathrooms. It even has gazebo for birthday parties and gatherings. It is a very good place to go spend some family time. It is where my family and I always go with our children.”

“I took my son here for his 15th birthday present today. We moved here from Atlanta last year, and we rented gear for the first year to make sure my son liked snowboarding. We had no idea what to buy. Kevin spent a couple of hours with us explaining everything, asking my son questions and ultimately working with us on our budget, what my son liked and what fit him best. GREAT experience! Highly recommend! They’re very knowledgeable on product and fit not to mention a super cool “Cali feel” store.”
