“I love this Motel. Pan the owner, is friendly, straight up and minds his business. The location is great, it's just out side of town on the outskirts. It's small and the cops don't patrol it like they do the Motel 6 and all of the other Motels in Watsonville, Santa Cruz and Salinas. Sure, it's a little out dated but if your on parole or probation and are trying to kick it or maybe your looking for a place to do a quicky and your boyfriend/girlfriend isn't comfortable at the other spots in town because the local cops are constantly circling the parking lots, so their performance isn't up to par (if you know what I mean, wink- wink😉) then this is the place for you! Tell Pan Marcie sent you...”

“I love Terry and how he interacts with my son. He helped set us up with everything we needed to know to get our first horse and now we are on our way to get our second. He stands by his horses and has been wonderful in pairing us with the perfect horses to meet our needs. He kept us from getting a wrong horse, pointing out how that purchase wasn’t right for us even if we weren’t going to go with him. His advice has served us well. Thanks Terry!”

“It’s a quirky little one-man owner-operator family shop. Josh passes many a day jammin out on his guitar with his 3 dogs behind the counter. True modern Americana. Josh will give you 70’s gas pump and/or guitar lessons. The guy leaning against the ice cream freezer drinking energy drinks is, in fact, not in line. Seriously, you just don’t see spots like this anymore. PS: The gas here is actually “top tier” gas. Basically it’s the same as gas as any National branded gas. I’m a local and i asked the owner just out of curiosity.”

“Nice floral shop with everything you may need to make beautiful flower arrangements. Some items have prices, but flowers don't so you must ask for help for every flower selection in order to know how much each item is. Somethings are really affordable and definitely worth it, but some are same prices than Costco. Overall I recommend it but I wish it was a bit cheaper and prices were posted.”

“Despite issues with the manufacturer, the experience working with Trade Source Furniture was outstanding, and their customer service was superb. Mason was on top of the order for my coffee table keeping me updated and escalating and putting pressure when needed. When my item continued to be delayed, Mason offered a generous concession, more than I expected, to make up for the inconvenience and frustration (it did!). Like most, I am more than frustrated with the lack of customer service that companies provide these days but that wasn't the case here. I will definitely purchase from them again and refer my friends and family, as well. The table is absolutely gorgeous and well worth the wait. Thank you!”

“This is a great laundromat. It's big, clean and well taken care of. There are many machines of different sizes. The instructions are on the front of each machine. You can pay either with coins (as usual), or with a regular debit or credit card. They have enough of the rolling baskets to move things from washing machines to dryers. There are many places to fold laundry, including some ginormous tables in the back (north end) of the laundromat. Both the employees and customers are pleasant. There's also plenty of parking for this laundromat. On the north side of the building containing the laundromat is a bakery.....and across the laundromat parking lot to the south is the Pajaro Market.”

“Youngmee is so kind and provides a wonderful comfortable experience. I heard about her from my mom, who looks younger and healthier than ever thanks to Youngmee’s services. This was my first facial and lash lift and I’m happy to say that it was a wonderful experience! My skin feels so smooth and anew. You can trust her expertise and 10 years of experience as an esthetician. I’m excited to come back for more!”

“(cross-posted from my yelp account) I'm not great with cars, which sucks because I drive an old, secondhand, uncommon car (its a 2000 Chrysler). At the end of March, I was driving up back to UC Santa Cruz from Southern California for spring quarter. After about 350 miles of driving, only 20 miles away from Santa Cruz, white smoke started coming out of the hood of my car. My coolant was leaking and I couldn't drive my car more than a minute without the smoke starting up again. It was past 3 PM on a Sunday, so most places were closed. After making a few calls to several auto shops to no avail, Royal Oaks picked up. Despite it being just about closing time, they offered to come tow my car and take it to the shop. (I ended up getting a lift the rest of the way back to Santa Cruz.) They were quick to check my car the next day (Monday) and I had a diagnosis and price quote by noon. Turns out my radiator was busted and needed to be replaced. I also had a nail in one of my tires, apparently. They told me it'd cost $620 altogether for the tow, repair, and tire patch. Again, I don't know much about cars, but looking online and seeing that radiator repairs can be up to $900, I thought their price was reasonable. Repairs were completed by the end of the day on Monday, but I wasn't available to go pick it up til Tuesday. I went in, my car was running fine again, tire patched, coolant topped off, and I paid exactly what I was quoted - no upcharges. I won't lie, the negative reviews scared me quite a bit, and I was hesitant to leave my own review right away in case the repairs didn't hold up, but I can say that my experience was quite pleasant. TL;DR: Had a car emergency on a Sunday, needed a tow and a new radiator. Royal Oaks helped me even though they ended up working past closing on the weekend. Price quote seemed reasonable, car was fixed in less than a day, and I paid what I expected to pay. For an auto shop, that's good enough for me.”

“This is the second time i used Alameda roofing. The first was when i had a leak under my solar panels up on the garage. it took several calls to several roofers, who all advertised emergency repairs/small jobs however Alameda roofing was the only one who came out, all the rest advertised emergency roof repairs bu all said too busy only doing full roof replacement. The second time i call Alameda Roofing was for an estimate for roof replacement on my house. They kept the appointment as scheduled and gave me a written estimate , for turnkey roof replacement. I signed a contract and was given a scheduled date of the first week of November, some 4 months from the date of the contract signing. The week before November i was contacted stating they would be at my home the fist week of November as stated. They came they did a fantastic, as stated for the price that was quoted. They did a thorough cleanup and left no garbage behind. This is a first class business, I am so tired of contractors advertising, emergency response, and small jobs, and don't do any of it, not even returning calls. Alameda Roofing family business, is just that and it shows with there Integrity and work ethic. they were great.”

“Great elementary school for my kids. Friendly staffs and great teachers. The teacher to kids ratio is awesome typically 20 to 25 kids in a class. The track/field needs work and could be safety issue as many parents have sprained ankle from pot holes.”
