I couldn't speak more highly of Ward & Son's and how they've helped me over the past year. My 2011 Subaru was having issues with running multiple codes with no real explanation. Everyone was so friendly and helpful with getting it fixed. Especially Danielle! They continually helped me read codes and worked with me until the problem was solved. Incredible customer service. I would highly recommend.
I showed up first thing in the morning without an appointment after a sudden change in my vehicles suspension/handling. Ward & Sons looked at it that day and didn't charge me a dime to diagnose the problem. They did everything they could to help get the repair done (offered to repair that same day, contacted me later in the week when they had a space open up, etc.) but because of my work schedule I ended up needing to go elsewhere. This mechanic didn't take any of my money and they certainly deserve your business.
Ward and Sons really are top notch. We were on our honeymoon and our cars check engine light came on. We only had a couple of days left at our rental house so we were worried we were screwed. I pulled into their yard and a very nice lady greeted us and asked what was going on. I told here what was going on with the car and our situation. Without hesitation she said let me go scan your car and see what’s going on. She grabbed her computer and scanned my car. She said it’s no big deal it just has a misfire and needs a tune up. Most places would charge upwards of $150 to run a diagnostic and she did it for free. Unbelievable! I said ok how quick can you fix it and she said she was booked until next week. My heart sank. Then, as if she hasn’t already gone the extra mile, she referred me to another shop on the area. What?!? Again this is unheard of where I’m from. They were able to fix my car, but if it wasn’t for Ward and Sons we would have been stranded. I appreciate them so much for helping us out. Just another reason I absolutely love Truckee and the small town hospitality. I highly recommend if you need auto repair please do yourself a favor and give Ward and Sons a visit. Thank you!!!!

Ward and Sons is hands down the best general auto mechanic in the Tahoe/Truckee area. They have always come through with honest diagnostics, fair prices and all around great service for me. I highly recommend Ward and Sons Automotive.
