“I am responding to the review that Ms. Yost posted. I know these people personally and know that this is not the case with Care Plus. In addition, the going rate for 24 hour caregiving can easily go as high as $1000 per day. This is the result of a ninth circuit federal court decision in 2016 that did not allow a sleep exclusion for "live in" care givers which resulted in prices having to be increased to cover the cost of overtime for legitimate care giving agencies (like Care Plus) who cover payroll taxes, workers compensation and liability insurance. Unlike many providers of homecare aids that, to save costs, do not follow California employment laws. Care Plus does not discriminate. We do our best at matching a caregiver with the client. Please understand that caregivers also have the freedom to choose whom they will take on as a client. We must respect that right.”
