“Loved the small cabin, was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the kitchen (stove, microwave, pots, dishes, coffee maker + free coffee!). Mostly kept the curtains closed, as the proximity of other buildings made it feel less private with them open. Both owners were kind and welcoming. Perfect location for hiking — it was so nice to start hikes from the cabin rather than needing to drive. Also an easy 20-30 minute walk to Tahoe City for dinner.”

“Gary is an absolute star with an impeccable sense of service! Even though he is short staffed and busy like everyone else, he took his time and guided me, via FaceTime!!!, to diagnose and replace a faulty circuit breaker (he immediately zoomed in on that as an issue) and didn't charge me for anything. We had no hot water for 4 days and I could not get anyone to come out for a service call. Tahoe is absolutely mobbed with new constructions and tons of $$$ flowing into the area and while the other guys are too busy extorting people for service ($4000 to install 2 plugs and a bathroom fan, anyone?), Gary is rear find, fair, experienced and knowledgable. Highly recommend.”

“The staff are incredible here...😊 Wide selection of anything you would need for your animal whether it be a rabbit, a cat, a dog or reptile. Quality foods snacks and animal care products--you can even get a nametag made for them. I bought my dog a pair of booties/$86. Bucks well spent) FYI--if you take your dog wear in the booties into the lake remembered to rinse them out before you take them for a walk because they will get filled with sand and that'll be uncomfortable for them. 🐕😃 I even got a free meal mixtures chewy chicken recipe snack pack for my Cookie monster 🐕🐕🐕😊😊😊😊 They have several different locations--one of the best pet stores I've ever been to.”

“Cute venue tucked within a lodge, this pub threw us off a bit by only offering outdoor seating. Still, our servers accommodated our party w extra heat lamps since some of us weren’t dressed to eat entirely Al fresco. Nevertheless our party decided to tough it out and proceeded w ordering our dinner. For drinks we got a few martinis that were all prepared expertly. A little surprising given the pop up vibe the entire place gives. Then we proceeded w the grilled cactus appetizer. It was a little hard to comprehend the description even after asking our waitress, turns it comes as a 3 piece unit or like a poke bowl. We had it poke bowl style and was VERY delicious. Then our food came, which was a build-your-salad, steak plate, steak sandwich, and lobster roll. Our waitress was excellent by repeating our order to us, which was brilliant since we had ordered a rather complex salad. Everything came together, presented beautifully, cooked wonderfully. The only pause was that our steak was more medium well then medium. Not too much of a big deal since it was getting a bit darker and grilling outside gets tougher w less light. Aside from that, our meal was excellent. Def a place worth many repeat visits.”

“After some few rough month in my life I finally decided to get a massage. SAGE is a tucked away little place off of the main street down towards the lake. Inside it's very peaceful and pleasantly quiet. Wendy was amazing. I has a deep tissue massage. I got so relaxed, I just wanted to stay and never leave.”

“The location is great, quick access to the main road but still finds tranquility. 30 minutes drive to Sand Harbor. I stayed upstairs @ the forest view 3 cabin for 2 nights, got a peek-a-boo view to the lake, cabin was nicely finished but the bathroom is due for some maintenance. The wall heater in the bedroom was noisy, light sleeper beware. The cabin didn't have a hair dryer, bring your own if you need one. Bring your own cooking oil if you plan to cook, the cabin only provided the spray on cooking oil.”

“Heard a knocking in my engine on the way to Northstar. Turned around to see the guys at Tahoe City Auto Repair since AAA would not come help us. The noise stopped by the time we got to the shop and the guys were able to explain the potential problems. They got my oil changed quickly and sent me on my way to get me back to Napa. Didn’t try to gouge us didn’t make us wait all day. A1 service if you ask me.”

“I had a troubling issue arise today with my property manager and cleaning service. They decided that they would not clean, return all of my linens or return my keys. I didn't want to bother the Sheriff's office but I felt like I had no choice being over 4.5 hours away. I had to scramble to find a new manager, get my cabin cleaned for the guest coming in later that afternoon and to get my property back. I could not have done this with out having keys or lines. Deputy Rick Wroobel responded to my call right away. He got the property manager to return my property and checked to make sure all the keys were returned and the lock box was working properly. I feel so grateful to have such an awesome Sheriff's department be as responsive as they were to a non emergency matter. Deputy Wroobel communicated effectively and was respectful to all parties and got the matter resolved right away. Thank you for all your good work - you make your department shine!!”
