“PlumpJack Cafe is one of the fancier restaurants in the Palisades Tahoe village. However, they are currently offering a very limited menu due to Covid 19 shortages and staffing issues. They features lovely mixed drinks along with a full wine selection. For the entree, they offer various meat dishes, which are decent, but nothing to write home about, and notably did not offer the dishes that my family had a craving for from a previous visit. It is noticeable that many restaurants in the village are understaffed, and this restaurant is no exception. Unfortunately, it seems like the choices and quality of dishes are also affected as a result.”

I went in and explained that I didn't really know what to get or how to order, and the staff was very warm, welcoming, and happy to tell me all about their cuisine. “If you want to visit this super famous restaurant and not have to face the crowds, 9 PM is the time to be here. They still have a kitchen of employees working very hard. The restaurant is very clean and so are the restrooms. The food was delicious as always because consistency is the key to any chain restaurant. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed that all the chains of this restaurant all seem to be designed exactly the same. I noticed the new touchless soda fountain is a nice touch for the pandemic. I hope they never change or start serving chicken.”

One spring roll & one fried wonton along with flower drop soup & rice for $17.95 ( one trip ). I had to wait 10-15 min for my food to get cooked on the BBQ. 6 bowls ahead of us so we sat & ate our soup & stuff while waiting for our food. Enjoyed the bowl of food but would've enjoyed it better if I could have seconds at least”

“Located in the center of a basic strip center, Tokyo Dori was a great discovery for us. They list a ridiculously large selection of sushi rolls and more. There are good sushi restaurants, but this place is a WOW!! Lanzas served a very generous portion that was lightly fried then baked with a side of spaghetti.
