Lake Skinner Park

Address: 37701 Warren Rd, Winchester, CA 92596, USA

Park

“Nice camp ground. Store is very convenient for food snacks and other gear. At night racoons come out, fun for the kids to watch them running across the grass and up trees. The night sky is beautiful to see....all the stars. Lake is nice. Reason I gave it a 4 was only 1 sink and 1 shower worked in the bathroom, but they do clean and maintain them. Cleaning crew goes in every morning.”

“Lovely park to be totally honest with you, nice place to relax and let your kids play around. The park is on the smaller side but it gets the job done on whatever you are doing. Everything is pretty neat and clean, bathrooms are clean. Quite a lonely park, not many people visit here that often.”

Watermill Park, Valley-Wide Recreation and Park District

Address: Round Coral Rd, Winchester, CA 92596, USA

“I don't believe it has a foundation. One picnic table and a couple benches. Very well maintained and clean and quiet. Was perfect for the kids and I to have lunch and chat. Looks like a perfect place to take a dog to let it piss or poop. The BBQ was a nice feature and the trash can was well placed. Very small, but it was perfect for us and what we needed.”

Double Butte County Park

Address: Winchester, CA 92596, USA

Park

“You can park along the housing tract but be courteous, please take any trash or empty water bottles back with you, and keep quiet if you arrive early in the morning. It’s about 40mins/1 hr to the top, south point of double Butte. There is a brass geological plaque dated in 1939 that is very cool to see. Sunrise is beautiful, but it is a natural habitat so be aware of all local species of critters and such and stick to the trails.”
