“Best walking/biking trail in the city limits. Regularly see Great Blue Herons, Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets. Cormorants, Canadian Honkers, Mallards and Wood Ducks. Almost always spot turtles sunning themselves. Saw a beaver once in the winter. Usually has some other humans enjoying the trail, but it never feels overly crowded. Weekday mornings are definitely the time to go.”

I like to get out along the river to view the wild life and for the peace and tranquility. Most of the people I run into are nice and friendly. “As far as parks go, this is one of the better ones. Separated dog park for letting your dog run around. If you're ok with a leash, take them around the man made lake. The park is not super well kept, you may find deep holes in the grass and the sidewalk may be covered in duck droppings. Overall, it's worth exploring here”

There even is the exact 30 degrees x 8 area that was the first landing for Ponce DeLeon to the new world. A must see area.”

“Fun park with a lake in a great location! Fish for bass, trout, and crappie or enjoy a picnic! Centralized restrooms and a special area for small children to play and run around. Leisurely stroll around the lake to take in the views of local and migrating wildlife or the snow topped mountains in the distance. There is plenty of room for social distancing and picnic tables throughout the park. There is also a large covered picnic area you can reserve for large gatherings with a big barbecue pit for cooking up some grub. A day use fee is required for all visitors and varies in price depending on your vehicle/vessel (only $5 for cars). The permit is valid for the entire day, and the machine takes cash or credit/debit cards (no coins). Check it out and enjoy your time at the lake!”
