“Pretty small museum, but for a toddler it did entertain them for 2 hours. Older kids won't get much from the experience. You have to pay per adult, and child which increases the cost quite a bit.”

“We are very happy to have a chance to visit this small but full of railroad history museum. We are welcomed by a kind lady who introduced us a senior museum narrator. He’s a very kind person and he explained bit by bit the history and significance of almost all exhibits, even in and out of this current still-used rail station. It largely increased our knowledge on the development of railroad history in LA region and beyond. Thanks for keeping such a wonderful historical site.”

“Great local museum. Of note this museum consists of several out buildings that you have to walk between. This makes for a very hot experience on a warm summer day. Thank goodness they sold cold bottled root beer for $2 which helped keep moral high. The grounds are loose gravel and sand. You can see all the exhibits in about an hour. The kid's favorite was panning for gold. You can purchase a small vial in the gift shop for 50 cents to bring some "gold" aka fool's Gold, home with you. All of the volunteers at the museum were incredible! Such a wealth of knowledge and interesting facts they really made the experience.”

“Today turned out to be as good as any vacation day we've had. In fact, two vacation days rolled into one, The home and workshops that this amazingly creative and skillful wood artisan designed and built and the wood sculpted furniture he made were each unique, and designed for comfort and simple elegance. His artistry became so famous that 4 US presidents requested one of his one if a kind rocking chairs. His talented wife was an artisan herself and together they added simple and practical creations all around. After an hour your that seemed half that, My bride and I took a walk around the well forested garden and stopped twice at shaded benches to just stop, relax and listen in this quiet location to soft breeze through the eucalyptus, pines, aspens and oaks, with a hundred beautiful and intriguing different plants found along the winding paths. Added to this were a variety of art works displayed, with some artists creating their own additions while we watched and chatted about how it was done. Occasional chats with others walking the oath were also enjoyed. We both had two wonderful days rolled into one and felt refreshed and energized and fortunate to have shared this experience when we returned home.”

“Definitely haunted. In one room, my camera went from color to black and white then as soon as I stepped out of that room my camera switched back to color. Our guide said they like to play with our electronics. Will absolutely go back again with my granddaughter who is into the paranormal.”

“Very interesting history. Judy is very knowledgable but more important very caring about the property and its long history. Very detailed and if asked she finds answers rather than saying I don't know. Can't wait til they open for more tours. I'm willing to volunteer and bring more volunteers to help with future improvements.”

“If you like historical places the Harvey House is a must. The museum part is open on Fridays, Sat. & Sun. I happen to show up on Monday but the museum part was closed. As I walked around, I discovered the lobby part of the building was opened and spoke with the security guard. She was a wealth of info. on everything I wanted to know about the Harvey House(s). I was allowed to walk through two grand ballrooms that both served as dinningrooms long ago. I was also welcomed to walk around on the second floor and enjoy a NASA exhibit. I will definately go back when the museum portion is open!”
