Both of the owners, Daniel and his wife, are very friendly, trustworthy, skillful, knowledgeable and professional. They were the second company I called when our tankless water heater broke. I was quite impressed when Daniel's wife gave me an estimate over the phone after I sent her few pictures of the existing water heater. She was also very responsive in answering my calls and texts. When I shared the quote from the other company I contacted, she commented they will beat the other company's price and they will only fix everything that doesn't work, they will never charge their customers with unnecessary services/parts. Danel and his staff arrived at my house punctually with face masks and friendly smiles. Daniel inspected all the parts of my existing water heater first. When checking the heat exchanger, he showed me the leak and recommended it must be replaced. Then they removed my existing heat exchanger and replaced it with a brand new. They finished in about 3 hours. I was quite amazed! I really appreciate when Daniel shared funny stories and punchlines before, during and after the job was done, his positive attitude and sense of humor was the cherry on top. “As a small business owner, reliability and being punctual is a rare but precious quality that we seek in vendors and technicians. Needless to say, this year was extremely difficult for small business owners. So when LA County finally allowed our operations to resume we had very short turnaround time. This is when we discovered that our Boiler wasn't functioning properly. I called multiple vendors and specialists, but decided to go with Jason from A O Dowd Plumbing because of the way he went about asking me what the issue and problems I was experiencing in trying to diagnose the situation over the phone. Most other competitors were more interested in making sure you know their rates and how this is considered overtime. As a business owner, I am as skeptical and jaded as they come unfortunately due to the numerous times of let downs, price gauging, and simply dealing with "call centers" than actual technicians. So I took a chance with Jason. Although he had other jobs prior to ours; he understood the urgency of our situation and sympathetic to the fact that we're just a small business barely trying to hang on while LA County wreck havoc with abrupt opening/closing policies. He scheduled our job for the early evening since he knew we needed our boiler to be fixed in order to get opened. He did a great job communicating when he was about to head over outside of LA County and the time frame to expect him. Upon arrival, he diagnosed the situation and presented the potential solutions along with the price quote. I highly recommend Jason because not only was he very professional but he was very transparent in how he was going to present potential solutions in tackling the problem. He did wonders in getting our very old but still solid boiler up and running in a couple hours. He definitely saved the day for us.”
