“When ever I go surfing nearby i always get pipes after. The food is very large for a good price. They have a coffee bar. And lots of seating. It can get packed at times but it is always worth the wait. I got the Big Breakfast w/ French toast. It comes with three eggs, two pieces of bacon, two pieces of toast, potatoes and two pieces of french toast. 5 starts, would recommend.”

“Management willing to work with me when I was unable to use my membership due to surgeries that I had. They have been so understanding and flexible. I am still a member and the value is great as I can use their facility at my convenience. I personally like the hot wrap and hydro bed as they help to relieve my arthritis pain and I lose a couple of inches in the process. Management team and staff are professional and always pleasant and easy to work with. I mostly use the Encinitas facility.”

“Mexico Viejo is an awesome gem among the sea of many taco shops here in San Diego. It doesn't particularly stand out in any one item/ dish, but what it does do is provide a lot of value for your hard earned dollar. There is however, one stand out item that I firmly believe should be a measuring stick for all taco shops which is their salsa. If the salsa is terrible or rather bland, I feel it sets the tone for the rest of your meal. Here at Mexico Viejo they do not disappoint, especially their red roja salsa. It is nice and picante with quite a bit of heat. And I do love my heat. For the value meal that will fill you up go for the bean and cheese burrito and some rice inside the burrito. If you're looking for something. Crunchy with also added value. Give the five roll tacos a shot. They used to be five bucks but due to COVID and all of its fall out the prices have gone up. Just a tad. All in all, Mexico Viejo is a solid value with good taste. I'm sure you will find something to your liking and not break the bank”
