“Had a great experience. Came before dinner rush on a Friday and was served promptly. The vibe was very cozy inside. We aren't big eaters so we decided to share an appetizer and an entree. We got the carpacio di salmone and the linguine nere and both were delicious. I'm not too fond of arugula so I didn't enjoy that part as much, but the salmon is absolutely delicious. The pasta was the right amount of creamy and was a good portion for two! I kept saying yum the whole way through. They were kind enough to plate the pasta in two different plates for us.”

“I go to Cheese Shop for lunch. Their sandwiches are good but really I'm there for their famous oatmeal cookies which use to be so good! Its thinner now & not cut into squares like it use to be so not worth the pit stop any longer. Though I would probably get something if I'm in the neighborhood to show support since they have been around for a while.”

“My first time here. A girlfriend has talked about how delicious this place is, so on our quarterly girls coastal walk we decided we'd stop here for lunch. Got a table outside, our server was friendly and attentive. My meal was delicious! A bit rich so couldn't finish it, but I would absolutely get it again. Wild mushroom rotolo. Depending on how rich you can eat, three people could probably split this and get a salad to go with it.”

“My wife and I had the most amazing experience today here! Our tour guide, Tim, was the best!! Not only was he super friendly and welcoming, he was extremely knowledgeable about both the kayaks and the city of La Jolla. He made us feel comfortable the entire time. The best part was seeing a sea turtle, lots of sea lions, and tons of fish! We even got to go in one of the caves! Truly incredible!! We will be recommending you guys to everyone! “Surf lessons were excellent, instruction was constructive! With the surf lessons, you receive 20% the surf diva store. We took advantage as they have some great clothes! When the security tags were accidentally left on, I called the store to inquire about what to do, as the store was far from my house. The owner of the store personally called me and arranged a way for them to be removed. Great service. Would recommend the surf lessons!”

However, they had great, knowledgeable guides, and lots of staff taking care of us throughout the entire process. From checking us in, to returning our equipment, and everything in between. “I had a fantastic experience with SD Expeditions! This was my first time diving since I got my Open Water Diver certification and our Dive Master, Kristin was super! We were lucky enough to see a sea lion that swam with us for nearly a half an hour. Great customer service, good quality gear, easy location, and very fun dive for a beginner like me but there was so much to see that I think anyone would have fun!”

Went back the next day to pick up wet suit gear because the staff was super awesome and reasonable.
