“Just had my Mustang timing belt and break lights fixed at Gapo Motor Works and it was a great experience. I found this business when i was looking for a car stereo at the car audio shop next to them in the same lot last week. I noticed that they were friendly and it is a mom and pop local family business so i decided to keep them in mind. The owners George and Edwin both of them mechanics were very friendly and accommodating. They were also honest and charged a fair and good price for the service. The owners wife who works in the back that handles the payment and check out was a very sweet lady. I felt that i got a good service and the work done to my car was honest and the price was great. I was expecting to pay two to three times the price i paid because of the other quotes that i got from the other big known names car repair shops in town that i usually go to. It is even worse when my wife is the one that takes the car for repair. Those big name car repair shops always tells her she need to have work done to the car that is not necessary. On top of that they don’t do the job right. But Mr. George gave me a good price and my wife and i were pleasantly surprised. They have certainly earned my business and i will take my cars to them again from now on. If you need an honest and reliable car mechanic in Chula Vista, I recommend you go to Gapo Motor Works. They will treat you right and not ripp you off.”

“If I could give more than five stars I would. On 5/16 I was driving from Oregon to Arizona as I was moving. I had just got my brakes done a month ago and paid around $800 at Les Schwab thinking they did everything. On my way to Arizona my brakes went out and I could not stop my car whatsoever. I had to pull into a parking lot and continuously use the e brake to slow down. My gf and dog were in the car so it could have ended really badly. It was a Sunday so over 98% of shops were closed and it was starting to get dark out. I looked on google and found this place. I called them up and explained what was going on but was not sure what the problem was since I’m not a car guy. They still sent out someone to come take a look at it. The mechanic who came out was named Layth and he was super friendly. He came out and looked at the car and turns out the previous car place did not bleed my brakes or add any brake fluid although they charged me for it! I could not believe it. Layth gave me a quote and started working on my car. He was super friendly and made us feel safe as well all the time. I even offered to give him a tip because he did so well and he did not take it. I could not believe it this guy was genuinely concerned for our safety and just wanted us to get to our destination safe. If management reads this they need to give him praise! He even came on his day off. This guy did amazing and I have nothing but positive things to say!”
