Such majestic creatures. Also, they have elephant seals.
Love this state park, it's really nice to be able to appreciate sunset here!! Good surf spot.
Been here multiple times, always great to see the elephant seals. You should book a tour early out to make sure you have the reservation to go out and see the elephant seal (you can't go out by yourself, must be with a guide). Well worth the visit.
We lucked out as it was a really fine, sunny day that we were here for their guided tour. The drive from the East Bay almost took 2 hours but it was scenic and pleasant as we took Highway 1. Staff was really friendly and our docent tour guide, Alexandria, was really knowledgeable and fun. It wasn't a difficult hike too. Our group had a few really young kids and couple of seniors and they managed the trail just fine. The highlight of course was the chance to view the elephant seals...and there were a ton of them! Even encountered some in the trail path leading to the beach. Overall a really great experience. I'm happy we got to try this. We will continue to support our State parks so I'm highly encouraging everyone to try this too. Breeding season is only through March. The seals will be back though during the summer months.
Everyone in Bay area should visit this place at least once. It is an amazing place. The guided tour is so well-worth it. You get to see elephant seals in their natural habitat at different times of the year.
