Water Dog Lake Park & Open Space

It's pretty, but short and busy most of the time

Beautiful area, great for mountain biking. Some fun artifacts too :)

A great place for a walk. A little muddy in spots after the rain. Good for an easy 3 mile walk at a minimum.

Water dog park lake Is such a blast for you and your friendly little pooch. The trials are adventurous and fun. Kid and dog friendly. Crowded on the weekend and few people on the week day depending on if you love crowds or if your solo. Water at dog park lake has room temperature water. My pooches who are small dogs love it. They love splashing in the water and chasing a ball in the open space sand. I recommend this highly.

Getting there is a nice walk. There are multiple entry points to the trail and Google maps doesn't exactly tell you that well. Make sure to look at the trails. That's the best indicator on where there is an enterence. I took my six month old puppy there to get some swim training in and it turned out to be a really nice trip. The trails are fairly well maintained with some benches along the way to rest. The water quality is about what you would expect, but a lot cleaner than some of the other lakes in the area, no pond scum. The lake bed however is very very Rocky. You need shoes or such if you plan to be near the shore or a bit into the water.
