KoKoLo Donburi - Milpitas

This place was so good! Discovered what Donburi was in SF a few months back and so happy there is a Donburi spot near home!

Food was amazing and great portions for the price and I can not stress this enough, the pork belly was melt in your mouth wanting 15 servings good.

Really delicious japanese donburi/rice bowl dishes. They have chicken, pork cutlets, beef and unagi, you can also add curry for a few bucks. Especially recommend the curry as all the flavor just mixes together really well.

The portion is large, especially the appetizers, the chicken karage is huge for $10. Has been coming here at least a few times a week, never had any problems with the food or service. Highly recommend.

Wagyu beef sukiyaki is so delicious, I also love their oyakodon and katsu curry bowls. They’re all $16 or less too! The fried oysters were only $9 for 6 huge juicy oysters! Their portions are super big too, I always have leftovers. The vibes are very calming, tables are spaced far so you can’t hear other people’s conversations or bump elbows with them. So delicious, my favorite spot after shopping at the Great Mall.

Orders came very quickly. Gyu Don has big portion of beef. Sukiyaki tastes good with Udon.

I visited this lovely restaurant with a really cozy and welcoming ambiance. The staff were amiable and made me feel right at home. For lunch, I decided to try their Japanese-style chicken wings and mixed tempura. The mixed tempura was absolutely delicious, with a perfect light and crispy texture, but I was a bit disappointed with the chicken wings as they didn't quite meet my expectations.

Interestingly, my friends ordered different dishes, and we had a great time sharing and tasting each other's meals. Our opinions about the food varied - some loved their choices, while others felt they were just okay. Overall, in my opinion, I would give the restaurant a 4 out of 5, primarily because of the delightful mixed tempura that left a lasting impression on my taste buds.
