“Excellent beginners hike with STUNNING views of the southern Bay Area. There is ample free parking at the base of the trail. Restrooms and picnic, BBQ areas as well. Park rangers provide good security here. Details regarding the hike and viewpoint follow: It’s approximately 3/4 of a mile uphill with a steep climb. Not too long but you’ll get a great leg workout going up. Once you arrive there is a view point with a looking glass. Plenty of red tailed hawks circling around. Very beautiful area. 1.5 miles round trip and if you want to extend your hike, when you come back down consider taking another one of the adjacent loops nearby. We turned this into a 5 mile hike and great workout. Highly recommended!”

“Always a great place to bike hike & relax. This is how it looks today - during torrential rain spell ; the lake is full and some of the picnic areas are under water !”

“My son often asks for "the tallest slide in the city" and we haven't found a park with taller slides than Betty Wolfe park. It has a taller structure for older kids and a smaller one for tots, plus nice swings and a balance beam and seesaw. He also loves the rock climbing structures and it has a nice walking path for "nature walks." All around great park with something for all ages.”

“Nice community park, small and fairly quiet. A good place to picnic or simply play the seesaw, etc. There are people on weekends but at least it’s not crowded. People walk their dogs here. It’d be better if the park offers dog litter bags.”

“Nice trial for hiking. You can see San Jose and Sierra Vista parking lot from this location. I can see my tiny car on Sierra Vista Parking lot which is pretty cool after 2 hours hiking from there. Picture are taken on 8/8/2019. About 30% shade on the trail, but some trail area's grade is >15% which is quite challenging for biking (except e-bike). There is no source of drinking water or restroom in the trail. It is FYI.”

“Good hike. Was surprised to see so much green even in summer. Views were good, not mind blowing or anything.”

“Part of a nice bike trail (although it consists of several disjointed parts with nonsensically lacking transitions: no lowered curb or crossing at Mabury Road; no coherent connection across Capitol, etc.) *And they never do anything about the homeless trashing it. But they spend money on a big pretentious portal near the new BART station. Stupid, just saying.* Fitness equipment. Shallow seasonal creek is fun for kids to explore. Used to have a very nice pond with happy waterfowl, but County maintenance dealt it a death blow by cutting and killing all the reeds along the shore. *Sigh.* Used to have a fountain, too, (strangely misplaced in the unkempt natural-looking pond, like the lamp post in Narnia's lantern waste) and helpful drinking fountains along the walkway, but these features fell victim to drought restrictions when all water got turned off, never to return. Still a nice place for a stroll.”

“My kids love this park. I'm so glad it has that rubber floor. The only thing that this lark has no restrooms at all. It also needs more shade.”
