I have had a lot of issues with really bad dentists in this area (including one who dropped a crown down my throat.He then gave me gloves so I could go trough my bowel movements to find it.) It took me 2 years to find a decent dentist, but I finally did.”

“After an entire day of moving, a friend and I stopped by on a whim because we were starving, it seemed open, and it looked pretty interesting off the highway. We got the sampler plate for two, potato and leek soup, and herring. We also got a couple of cocktails, which were reasonably priced and tasty. Parking was a bit of a pain, even late in the evening, so be mindful if you show up during a busy hour. Everything was delicious, and my friend, who grew up eating German food, said that the red cabbage was perfect. We showed up at almost 9 on a Saturday (they close at 10), so it was very quiet. Service was excellent, and food was served promptly despite it being late. We appreciated that they didn't rush us at all, even though we offered to just order for takeout once we realized they were closing soon. It's a bit out of the way, but we would definitely come back the next time we're in the area or passing through.”

“Saved my life, and I will always have a great fondness in my heart for the Ben Lomond Fellowship. Wonderful community of people in recovery, and they sure do know how to have FUN! A lot of people facing the prospect of getting clean and sober have one huge, stone cold fear in the pits of their stomachs, namely that once they give up their booze/drugs they will never have fun again. Well I am here to tell you that nothing could be further from the truth! I'll admit that the transition from drunkenness to recovery can be a rough ride, but once you get your sea legs and become a part of the community of people in recovery at the Ben Lomond Fellowship, the party never stops! THere is ALWAYS something going on at that fellowship! They love to party. They barbeque tri-tip at the fellowship, they have great big parties on all the long weekends and holidays. Lots of good times. So not only does the fun not end when you get clean and sober, the fun just BEGINS when you do it! I can't say enough good things about that fellowship. But I will say one more. About that "dingy" comment another reviewer made--the fellowship has brand new carpet and much of the old living room furniture has been replaced with nice new comfy stuff. Give 'er a look! :-)”

“My wife and I stayed at Fairview Manor B&B March 10 and 11 2017. Gael and Jack greeted us as we arrived late in the afternoon. We left soon after for dinner at a wonderful Tyrolean restaurant that they recommended, located just 2 blocks away. Upon our return, we enjoyed wonderful conversations with them about the area, the B&B's history & their international travels!. We are.both photographers & their knowledge of the area worked to our benefit during our stay. We captured some wonderful images over these two day due to a couple of suggestions they threw out. That said, the comfort of home abounds at Fairview Manor. After a very comfortable sleep in our king-size bed that night, we enjoyed a scrumptious breakfast the next morning, as we looked out the wonderfully clean floor to ceiling windows that had sunshine streaming thru the trees to greet us. A very tranquil setting for breakfast indeed! The manor was wonderful in every way...the rooms were clean, the grounds very scenic & well kept & the inn-keepers could not have been more delightful. The whole experience was a 5 out of 5! Jack & Gael (as well as Ms.Murphy - their well-behaved "man's best friend") made us feel very much at home. We'll definitely be back for another stay down the road at this B&B!”
