“GREAT place! You should definitely stop by if you want to understand this stretch of the northern California better: Half Moon Bay to Santa Cruz. The founders, the Nicols family, took a 1000+ miles slow walk from Oregon to Mexico in 2003. It was during this walk that SLOWCOAST was born. They support many local artisans and farmers and really strive to provide educational resources to the public regarding environmental protection. The staff, Lisa, is amazing too. Talk to her to learn more about this beautiful project! They have another shop in Pescadero and a couple of pop up locations around Santa Cruz. You can get a token for $1 off for your next purchase.”

“This is on Pacific highway 1. Many stop to refresh, eat or just have a coffee from their long journey or their local road trip. I stopped here with a couple of young girls that I met from Romania. We had a coffee and dessert. This is one of the few places throughout my travels that I actually found cake with culinary lavender icing topped with a bit of real lavender. It was delicious.
