“Crest Ranch has been a family tradition for us for 18 years now. We were worried that with the devastating CZU fire this year they would not be able to reopen. Well, not only did they open, but the staff were as wonderful as usual and they have beautiful trees left. Along with the trees that survived the fire, they have also brought in Nobel Fir trees. The picnic tables are up, so bring your snack and enjoy some time at this wonderful place. Much of the property, and lives of the folks who live and work there, is changed forever, but I so appreciate the hard work they put in so our family could return there this season.”

It very well may be the number one best tasting restaurant we’ve ever dined in, but I am not one to commit to such daring statements ;) My wife Rachel had the scallops, and I had the ribeye and both were 100% exquisite. Must taste to believe. (A disclaimer out of fairness, this place is a memorial to the Jack O’Neill who founded O’Neill clothing, invented the wetsuit, and trademarked the name “surf shop”… In indication to him we lit some reefer in the parking lot. But I am 67% sure my review is based solely on taste).”

“I'd heard about this place before from word of mouth, and it didn't disappoint. There's a cute little antique store on the grounds, a mailing list for picking season, and various jams and honeys. They also have an 8.99 picnic lunch deal that looks really good, but of course the main draw are the pies and fresh apple juice. I got the dutch apple pie, because it's a classic and is usually either amazing or really mediocre. I need you to understand something. Forget anything you bought in a grocery store. Forget Grandma's recipe. You have not had dutch apple pie like this before. Buy a whole one. The juice is phenomenal, and tastes like a fresh picked apple in liquid form. In short? If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend it.”
