“I'm currently doing what I call Modified Downsy Upsie on Pony Trail, by modified I mean I descend from the top of the trail, to the overhanging tree which is approximately a 10 minute walk from the base of the trail, and then I turn around a go back to the top. It takes about half an hour, and in my opinion, is equivalent to a 20-30 minute jog in terms of metabolic output, in other words, its exactly the length a duration and intensity level that I am currently comfortable doing on a daily basis, did I mention it was a steep trail? It is.”

“Beautiful campgrounds with a neat observatory. The bathrooms are ventilated, with flush toilets and actual lighting. There are showers that take quarters, but none of our group ever needed to use them. They were quite clean though. Quite close to the city should an emergency arise. Good for families. Beware of night hiking, as we ran into a couple mountain lions on a rather foolish excursion after dark. They're more scared of you than you are of them but you should still exercise great caution around wild animals. Stick to the daytime for such activities and you'll be fine.”
