“Really nice trail. It connects the beach and Highway 1 to the campground, and makes for a really good day hike. The upper trail goes to the top of the hill and has great views of the ocean, while the lower trail is shaded by redwoods and has great views of the Russian River. The upper trail is overgrown by grass in some sections, so watch out for ticks.”

“Every time I stay at this place, it feels like I am a world away, in some Italian village. Very good service, great massages, superb breakfasts. A very, very romantic setting. Just moments from the various local wine tasting rooms, right at the respective wineries, among the vineyards. There is not really a place to go for a walk or a hike, but such places are only about 15 minutes away by car.”

“I've been to Relais du Soleil several times on various occasions. My friend and I rented Tim's ranch to celebrate our 50th birthday party and invited over 100 guests. This place is magical, the surrounding hills and the creek are serene. The winery is inviting and beautiful; there's a long table where we have had many lovely sit-down dinners with great wine always flowing. Glen Ellen town is so quaint and there are many awesome wineries nearby. Tim is an amazing and friendly host. A rare find.”

“It's not the four seasons but for the price it's totally worth it. This tiny town is magical and you will have a good time. The swimming pool is not fancy but is in a very lush wild setting which makes up for the crusty dusty chairs. There is an awesome country bar just nextdoor where you will lose your dignity. This is grow territory, hippie chicks and smoke boys abound. The organic natural grocery store across the street is also super rad!”

It has a large beautiful hand carved wood dining room table that easily fit our group of 8. There was an easy stairway right to the beach. We had a fantastic time playing in the tide pools.. “I attended a gathering for a departing coworker of my wife. The staff had quite correctly seated the group of 7 in the private room at #Bacchus. As i entered the foyer I could clearly hear my wife's laugh... ..so, if you want the private room to be "private" you must close the doors. One of the ladies and I played a game of pool in the hotel lounge while others enjoyed the intimately lit, comfortable space. We could occasionally hear the copper finished tables from the room clunk together and laughter as we played. I win (sorry; not sorry L.G.). Our waiter Carlos was attentive and helpful. The hostess very politely waited until the last possible moment to clear the tables. Good job.”

“Gaige House was a beautiful , thoughtful and special place to be based while exploring Sonoma Valley. We loved the thoughtful touches such as sake and warm hospitality. The breakfasts were nice as well. We enjoyed reading poolside and doing some meditation as well in the meditation room. Our guest room was huge and we had a spacious deck to relax and unwind on. Also, a massive bathroom with soaking tub and a comfortable bed made for a very enjoyable stay. We definitely will be back.”
