“There are more trails here than people realize. I like to come here for hiking, and it's a great place to bring your dog. I often see people riding horses, and I've had some great conversations with people studying the local geology and plants. Every time I go I am surprised by how under used this place is. There is a large area for parking with space for pickups and their trailers. Bring water because there's no water services on site and the restrooms are outhouse style, I avoid them when I can, but they are there if you're desperate.”

“Little shop, but very good people. We forgot a few things for some fresh salsa and they had what we needed. They even kicked down the last of their garlic cloves from the kitchen for free. I guess they don't normally sell it, but they had tomatoes. You can get small bites to eat here and have a few essentials for camping if you forgot some stuff. Also have gas/diesel too.”

“I got a lakeside campsite in late August. Beautiful location, being close to the lake. It was a wet year, so the climb down to the water was only about 3'. As others have said, some of the structures are in need of repair, and the sites are close together. There were many vacancies when I was there, so noise and smoke were not a problem. I accidentally something in the campground, and the staff were extremely kind and helpful in getting it back to me.”

“I have had amazing days here with my kids. It is peaceful and secluded. We pack a picnic and enjoy getting away from the city for hours. My tip if you come here is to be prepared for variations in water flow, if it's too high you can always head back to knights ferry. Also PICK UP YOUR TRASH, PLEASE AND THANK YOU. #LEAVENOTRACE”

“Stephanie is amazing. My hair has never felt so healthy, so easy, so beautiful. She really knows what to do with whatever vision you bring to her by combining it with her knowledge of hair types and coloring. On top of all her hair expertise, she’s just a really wonderful, cool person. I can’t believe we get to have her right here in Twain Harte!”
