“Three words... CHEAP. MEXICAN. FOOD. Enough said! As I was heading for some wine tasting on the afternoon of 6/26/2021, I stumbled across a place that I did not expect on my adventure to no man's land. This was none other than "Tacos Jesus Maria". Located in the small community of Esparto, CA, this little taco truck is directly on Fremont St. and adjacent to Woodland Ave. (which is essentially Highway 16). The parking itself can be a true hit or miss as there is a convenient store nearby as well as other businesses within walking distance. Since I came here for one thing (which is their tacos) to get my belly filled up before wine tasting. The menu is no frills as they specialize in tacos, burritos, tortas, quesadillas, and tostadas. Since tacos are my go-to meal of choice, I ordered two of their "Carne Asada" ones. And at $2.00 each, these prices are unbeatable. Other food items that were very low in price were burritos that started at $4.00 and tostadas as just $3.25. Service was quick as my tacos were ready in less than 5 minutes; even with a long line. Overall, this is what a taco should taste and look like; two corn tortillas, a side of radishes, jalapeños, lime wedge, and salsa roja. The flavor itself is out of bounds amazing and a great little pit stop if you're passing through town or heading to nearby Cache Creek Indian Reservation. All in all, "Tacos Jesus Maria" is as good as it gets; they are open Monday through Saturday from 11am to 7:30pm and closed on Sunday. My rating, a unanimous five stars.”

The BBQ sauce was tasty and the ice cream swirl was so satisfying that you want more. Thanks for lunch. “Tasty taqueria in Winters. Staff is friendly. Salsa was good, spicy and seasoned. Chips tasted boardline old. Got the Chile Relleno plate. Chile relleno was good, 2 Chile rellenos with beans and rice. At the end one of the Chile rellenos had a small hard section. Might have been over warmed. Also got a tamale, that was really good. Try it. Carnitas taco was good. The other plate was 4 tacos. Carnitas, asada, adobada all really good. Meat is tender and plenty. I want to go back and try other items on the menu. Place is clean and has outside seating.”

“I absolutely love this place. I come here all the time when I'm in the area. It's ran by an elderly woman who's very sweet and really knows how to cook. You can feel the love in every bite. The spices used in the sauces is packed with a punch, so hope you're able to handle it. I always get four tacos, and be way too sleepy after eating. The tortillas is packed with meat and everything is made perfectly. A real taste of Mexico!”

“Don't be surprised to find that Four Seasons is directly within the gas station store. I read reviews before going but was still taken aback by how there wasn't even a door before the dining area and the store. I ordered the black bean fillet fish (lunch special) for take-out and received it within 20 minutes. Most people called in for pick-up orders, I would recommend doing that. The staff is friendly and efficient despite balancing both people calling in and orders at the front. Indoor dining is available but there isn't any outdoor seating. The fish fillet was seasoned well, but I personally found it a bit salty and the rice a bit dry. It was a good distribution of veggies and fish, definitely filling. This is a cozy local spot for classic Chinese American fare priced reasonably for the portions.”

“The course layout is one of my favorites in the Sacramento area with a challenging length above 6,800 yards. Yolo county is under "exceptional drought" conditions, yet the greens and fairways were in great shape. Wildhorse's staff was very polite and informative. The practice greens near the 3rd hole are the way to go but make sure to grab a sleeve of balls if you don't hit the fairways!”

Pizza Hut is one of the better competitors in the chain pizza battle. Although more expensive than the competition, partially because they also try to offer a restaurant style experience, Pizza Hut is a good place to go. The also offer stuffed crust, and let’s be real here, the more cheese the better. Stuffed crust should be a standard, in my humble opinion.”
