“Such a nice library that is now open for browsing. No indoor seating yet and one hour time limit to browse at the library which is more than enough time. They offer free hold orders so you can order books from other Torrance libraries and they are now open on Saturdays! Make sure to ask for a free curbside craft when you come visit. They offer them throughout the month for children, adults and teens.”

“A crown jewel. I absolutely love coming here, the grounds are relaxed and inviting. Even though the library is starting to show its age a bit, it is still a fabulous asset.”

“This library is one of if not the best resource for legal issues I found. They have several self-help resources and all of the employees I spoke with were well-informed. I spoke to different lawyers here and each of them helped to answer my questions. It is crucial to be informed in laws and your rights since a lot of people will tell you that something within your rights is “against the law” in ignorance so it is worthwhile to inform yourself in a place like this library. Knowledge is power and I am grateful for a place like this library that makes legal resources easily accessible. You are able to do 2 free sessions a year and they also have plenty of resources outside of that as well. I took part in zoom sessions, in-person sessions, phone calls and received answers sooner than lots of the other resources I was using before finding them. I would like to thank Roberta Ponce, Stephanie Osorio, and Nicholas for their knowledge and time. Also, compared to other places they were the most responsive. It is in downtown LA and the parking is available in several locations one of the closest is 221 W 2nd St and that parking lot is about 3 minute walk away, they have an entrance on broadway”

“The perfect place to work, or just to rest. The study rooms are pretty much open for anyone until someone comes in for a reservation, textbooks are free to rent for a while if you don't have it. There's plenty of open computers as well.”

“The librarians are super friendly. They show pride in their work environment by always having creative displays that are updated seasonally. The library is always clean and there are always new books to checkout. One of our communities best resources!”

“I used to hang out in this library as a teen! I moved away but I'm back almost 15 years later, it's both nostalgic and improved. Clean, organized, with very polite staff who have been helpful every time I've reached out to them. When I ask questions they come off as happy to help. They also have great summer programs, and I love the inclusive themes they put up (right now they're acknowledging disability awareness with a big beautiful banner, last month there was a fantastic rainbow right at the entrance) The missing star? No noise control! Maybe it's meant to be more relaxed, but I thought the rule of libraries was keeping a respectful low volume. Every time I visit for a quiet place to focus on work, there are little kids shouting and playing Fortnight. The staff don't ask them to please keep it down so I have to try tuning out yelling, swearing, music, and a torrent of "your mom" jokes. It would be funnier if it didn't happen every time I come in!”

“It's convenient. Just be the next of the community center. This library is especially good for children and teenagers. But for adults, it might not be so quiet. Good for mothers to bring your baby here”

“The most wonderful and helpful library in the entire county... In my opinion, anyway. Pre-Covid, the Pine Valley Library was the social, educational, and intellectual hub of the town. DVDs to check out, computers available for research, books at hand to check out plus the ability to transfer books to our small town from any library in the entire state of California. Plus, the librarians are not merely exceptional at their work, but they have also become friends. After twenty years of Pine Valley life, the library is among my very favorite spots in our small town. 10 out of 10, definitely recommend!!”

“My new favorite Public Library find! Beyond even just being in a sculpture garden, this is A treasure indeed as there is both a WORKING payphone out front and a bike repair station. Restrooms are large and clean at the entrance, with family restrooms just inside the entry way and as a single story building, wheelchair friendly. I was delighted to see an entirely separate safe space teen zone. Impressed at the variety of languages of newspapers, extensive dvd collection, lots of reading and study spaces. Wifi and electrical outlets, as well as a variety of efforts to make literature accessible to all.”
