“Not feeling good today, and all I wanted was a really good sandwich. Mission accomplished. We recently moved to Hemet and have yet to find favorites when it comes to food establishments, Downtown Deli definitely made my list. I ordered the Turkey BLT Avocado and Cheese with a side of potato salad, my daughter ordered a classic BLT with Avocado. The total was almost $40, so I was a little shocked at that and thought, this sandwich better be worth it. It was!! It was about a 15 minute wait before our order was ready and we were on our way home. I was actually really excited to open up the takeout box and get a look at this sandwich. Let me tell you, the sandwiches are HUGE! The first bite was full of just absolutely great flavor, honestly the BEST sandwich I've ever had!! The blend of salt, pepper, and oregano mixed with the avocado and fresh produce was just so freaking good. The potato salad was almost as good as my mamas and that says ALOT! It was just really so good. I thought 15 minutes was a long wait, but now I get it. These sandwiches are made with love and pride and you can taste it. During those 15 minutes I took some time to learn about the owner of the Deli, Stephen. I had to hold back tears after learning about how involved he was with his community and how loved he was by the community. He passed in 2019 and I'm just really happy that his legacy is being carried on. He would be so proud of the great job you are all doing at Downtown Deli, such a welcoming atmosphere, built with love for sure. I highly, highly recommend Downtown Deli.”

I can honestly say that this pizza place may not be the most appealing aesthetically, but the quality of the food really offsets the aesthetics here. I get it there has been times that the orders take a bit longer than I would like, but with the very limited staff they have available they try their best. I must say in the past they have had a few hires that I would have avoided, but ownership noticed it and fixed the problem they had quickly as they are smart owners. Now what really keeps me going back at least twice a month is the food being amazing and the owners. The owners are amazing and very humble and honest people. I know the pandemic really was hard on many mom and pop pizza places, but I am glad this one made it through. I hope they can continue to serve our area and hopefully grow because they both deserve it! Matter of a fact I am ordering pizza tonight!”

My friend had the chili cheese fries and I should have ordered that too cause it was so yummy and cheesy ,😋 the chili dog was good but it was a lot smaller then what I imagined. it was a tiny weiney. Although, they need to learn to slice. The salad bar was plentiful, a good choice of items. However, you are provided a medium size bowl for a one time trip. The staff were friendly and willing to help. Because it was near closing, you had to watch out for the wet floors. As someone who has worked in the restaurant business, clean up was never conducted while guests were still seated. This is a management and owner issue. The menu was not posted. Nor are calorie/nutritional information. Overall, ok. But should be noted, unless a large family can share 1 pizza, plan on spending close to $100.00.”

Ordering over the phone was very easy, the staff member was very polite and helpful explaining which vegetarian options/ingredients were available for one person's order. Plus, I could tell they were busy, which we truly appreciate. There wasn't a long period of wait time. The food was especially memorable, and refined to most by comparison in this area. Everything was perfectly delicious our first time around so we decided to come back to dine inside another time. The rice itself has good texture and flavor (on some of the nigiri), great quality, flavorful, balanced, with fresh ingredients. Every single bite was memorable and delicious!”
