“We went for a long weekend getaway with friends. Our cabin was amazing! We were stunned as we walked in and saw the wonderful view from the 3 walls of windows. It was spacious, and had lovely and comfortable decor and furniture. Our only comment is that there is no window shade on the door or over the sliding door, and the a/c unit being in the main living area makes it hard to keep the bedroom cool without leaving the door to the bedroom open. So someone can look in or in our case it was letting in a ton of light very early in the morning. It was otherwise just a fantastic experience. The pool and hot tub were wonderful. Lots of options to hang out at a propane fire pit. There’s also a lot of kid friendly activities (jumping pillow, playground, swimming, outdoor games). We also rented one of the golf carts, which I would highly recommend for getting around the park. We would absolutely come back here again.”

“We stay at the Royal Gorge KOA once or twice a year. The owners are awesome. The views are beautiful. No matter what size RV you have R.G.KOA can accommodate well. The place is always clean and the whole experience is geared to families. Kids of all ages have a great time here. The store os well stocked and reasonably priced. The Hunts Brother pizzas are a plus also. Looking forward to our next trip.”

“Don’t tell your friends about this spot. It’s a hidden gem. New facilities are a great addition and the camp host does a good job of keep this place clean.”

“Have only been staying here a few days but don't plan on leaving anytime soon. The owner is amazing. Her and the maintenance man, "Cowboy" helped us out a lot. We ran into a big problem when we first moved here that wasn't really our fault or theirs, but they helped us greatly to get the problem taken care of. These people actually care about you and aren't just out for your money and will make you feel at home. Can't say the same about the RV ranch down the road. This place is gorgeous and a hidden gem. You'll see all kinds of birds and wildlife and their cows are free range and will come pretty close too! Almost don't want to write a review cause I don't want too many people finding out about this place haha. The only thing is to make sure you bring stuff to level out your camper because it's on a bit of a hill/slant. We had no issues getting up the dirt road here.”

“My lady and I stayed at Starlite way back in 2011. And like many others who have left reviews over the years, we had nothing but an AMAZING experience. I believe we met Larry when we checked in, he was kind and funny and made sure we had everything we needed. We stayed in one of Starlite's vintage campers, Lucy was our gal! She was perfect, including pots and pans and linens and I recall even some salt and pepper, which we forgot to bring :). Bathrooms were spotless, grounds were well kept, and other campers staying at the park were kind and respectful. It was a great trip, and the beginning of a healthy shift in our lives to travel more. Years later we bought our own RV, and are now considering a campground of our own in the future. We're quite thankful to Sylvia and Larry for the experience and environment they've built together, and chose to share with others. So, why am I leaving a review a decade later? Well, for starters I wasn't as hip to Google Reviews way back then, so this has been a long time coming and is certainly well deserved! But also because recently we've determined that we'd like to live long-term on a campground, and have been checking out long term locations in CO, NM, MN and OR. It dawned on me last week to check and see if Starlite offered long-term stays, and to my surprise, that's what they do now. Seems there are some folks* out there who don't quite get the business model. Sure, some campgrounds are all about the turn and burn. Campers in, campers out. I mean, what? Isn't like 99.745% of campgrounds out there all family focused? There are plenty of those. Starlite has always been a more unique experience, and with the vintage campers you already knew things were going to be different. So I'm not the least bit surprised that after all the floods and fires and god knows what else, the owners found a model that provides privacy, affordability, and perhaps more importantly, community. And that's something we hope to be a part of. Ryan & Zoë * I wish Google let us Like replies to reviews. Whoever is replying from Starlite is doing the Lord's work and deserves a drink. Bye, Felicia!”

“This is a great, nestled away spot for a quiet night in the canyon! Perfect for catching some rest while exploring the rock climbing in the canyon. PLEASE PRACTICE LEAVE NO TRACE. If you don’t know what that is, look it up. The campground is no longer serviced and are only considered dispersed sites. BEARS PRESENT. Due to the obvious abuse of the area, there are black bears present at this campground. We encountered a cub in the driveway leading to the sites in the middle of the afternoon. Sharing pictures of the abuse in hopes that folks will attempt to self-police the area and protect it. This is very harmful to the wildlife in this area - not to mention the damage it does to the local environment.”

“Only doing 4 stars because the noise and just screaming of the other campers went on all night (9pm- 4am) I don’t care much for having a good time and taking in cold one around camp fire but this was ridiculously loud and really sucked. Also a bit disappointed that they were right off the highway and not secluded like we expected. The tent itself was nice and very comfortable for the 4 days we stayed. Only recommend to the people that don’t care for the screaming and yelling between 9pm - 4pm!”

“Beautiful RV park located in the quaint town of Florence Colorado. The facility is well maintained with lovely flower beds, large lots with turf, and kind office staff. It is a safe place to live (we all had to do background checks prior to living here) with many families, including some children. It is also a very quite, and friendly neighborhood. The owner is very driven to make an upscale park, and when completed it will be one of the nicest RV parks in the Denver area.”

“We stayed at Mountaindale for several days in August and really appreciated the beauty and quiet of the location. Having had the opportunity to travel extensively in the area, we note that other RV parks in and around Colorado Springs are tightly packed, close to noisy roads, and can be difficult to access in a big-rig. That's far from the case with Mountaindale. This location is close to everything, but sits almost 2 miles off of the main highway at the base of a beautiful ridge in perfect quiet and natural beauty. There's plenty of room to maneuver, the sites are spacious and well maintained, and the park employees are welcoming and helpful. The park itself is very well maintained and the team that runs the place is committed to making sure that everyone has a great experience by enforcing community rules in a friendly and respectful way. We highly recommend Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort and we'll certainly return.”
