“There are a lot of rafting options in the area. We chose Performance Tours due to price and availability, and they did not disappoint! Our guide, James (Son of Richard) was beyond awesome! He knew exactly where and when to have us paddle, and did a great job steering and navigating to avoid flipping or hitting the many rocks and other obstacles in and along the river. With the high and swift water this time of the year, that was a huge factor in our having a great time. After the first time or two it looked like we were headed toward peril and James kept us safe, I wasn't concerned. Besides that, he was a lot of fun, and knowledgeable about the area and its history. He also knew the river very well, and worked with it to give us a fun run while keeping us from harm. Another perk is that Performance Tours includes wetsuits at no additional cost, while some others charge extra. They even have water shoes available for free, although we all used our own. Their gift shop has cool and reasonably priced souvenirs, and a large monitor where they show the photos from your group that are available for purchase. On top of their already being one of the best priced options in the area, they are running a 20% off promotion right now, which made them the lowest cost outfitter - and you're definitely not compromising on fun, safety, equipment, or any part of the experience. We highly recommend Performance Tours!”

“Great experience! I would recommend this train activity! There is a wagon where you can be outside. The breakfast was good! 2 things. We waited outside for quite a bit. It was pretty hot! It’s kind of random but if you are in a wagon with noisy people, well, you will be stuck with noisy people for the duration of all the trip. Most of waiters are welcoming like a jail door. I still put 5 stars but I don’t think they were nice. (For most of them.) The company cannot do much about it, I know. I love their store!!!”

“I was desperate for a roofer to come to my house and look at removing my swamp cooler on the roof which caused a leak. I sent emails and called other places and never received a call or anything. When I called Vendetti Roofing the owner answers the phone. I explained what I was needing and he came right over, went up and inspected the area. He explained everything of the process. We scheduled a time for him to get the repairs done. He and his crew was prompt, professional and hard workers. I have found my roofing company for anything in the future. These guys are awesome!”

“I was also a resident of this facility when I was there it was a fairly new facility and Cornell I believe was the company overseeing this place I can tell you that this place was the furthest thing from a vacation home but I can say that it wasn't nearly as bad all the time it wasn't an easy place to be in especially because when you first get there they put you in the famous Bob barker sweats and shirt and jailhouse black and white shower shoes and you can't have any of your personal belongings for the first three days they had to go through your personal belongings to make sure nothing was being brought in that's not allowed and they inventory your stuff as well they were a bit strict you couldn't have any clothing that was blue or red you couldn't have any hygiene items that had alcohol in the first three ingredients it wasn't too horrible but the bob barker soap and shampoo were absolutely awful it dried my hair and skin out and I developed an allergy to it but one of the higher up staff members named Laurie was absolutely amazing she went out of her way and got me shampoo and conditioner and body soap for me she was honestly one amazing staff member now onto the food it's no five star restaurant but at the time we were served turkey everyday and almost every meal I was there for a little over two years and to this day I still can't touch turkey when they did serve chicken we were almost positive that was turkey too! Or the one time there was a pretty decent size outbreak of stomach flu even it was bad! Now onto the staff members I don't remember all of them but the few that I do remember made a positive impact on my life their names are josh,patty,Laurie,And I believe the one teacher I had her name started with a D she used silver wear to eat chips she had a case of ocd but she was amazing as well and the art teacher at the Time I was there also made a huge impact on my life I could literally write a book on my experience at sprtc the good the bad and the ugly I hope to someday return to sprtc and maybe volunteer my time or even talk to the kids living there currently because I know when I was there it felt like the only person that truly understood life inside that place was the other kids it felt like we only had eachother and I wished that staff could walk in our shoes and I've always wanted to return to sprtc to share my story even when I was a resident it was my goal to one day return and I really wish that one day I would run into a staff member or any of the staff so I could one day thank them for everything they did for me a had a staff member that took the time to teach me how to crochet I'm left handed and she was right handed but she didn't give up and I finally learned it took a while but I still to this day have the blanket that I made while I was there so in conclusion yes it was mixed with bad and good things but at least they never physically abused me and didn't call me a liar or blame the abuse on me because I was an awful child like excelsior youth center in Aurora Colorado did so thank you SPRTC for everything you did for me I wouldn't be where I am today without you”

“This is the Canon City extension of Pueblo Community College's main campus in Pueblo, but it can completely stand on its own, in many respects. First, they have their own bookstore, which is nice, since you don't have to go all the way to Pueblo. I will mention, however, that you really shouldn't always expect to be able to buy your books on the Pueblo campus if you happen to be in town, because their book assignments aren't always the same as the Fremont campus. I discovered this when I happened to be in Pueblo, decided to take care of my book charges, and buy my books there. Discovered the first day of class that I'd inadvertently bought the wrong psychology book, had to drive all the way back to Pueblo to return it, because apparently, sales taxes vary across county lines, so they couldn't return it at the Fremont campus and save me the drive back to Pueblo. Not a terrible thing, but I just felt ridiculous for not having realized they'd have a different book list. Silly me.. Moving on, though. They also have their own counseling center here, which is much faster than the main campus. All the financial aid paperwork can also be processed here; they just fax it to the main campus for you. Classes here rarely get over about 25 people. Some of the larger classes are usually the rudimentary levels (090 courses), or the courses that are required for most programs (i.e. Anatomy) because people getting in need those to qualify into their per-requisites for their programs. So if you don't need those and can skip directly to higher levels, you'll find the average class size is usually about 20, which is awesome. Makes for some nice discussions, and means that the teacher actually ends up learning your name over the year, and can recognize you in the hallway when you pass. They also offer a few degree programs here, the main one being nursing. It's a great option, considering that the main campus is 45 minutes from Canon, and it would be a tad bit arduous to drive that twice a day. So the fact that they offer that program out there and not just alternative classes that transfer to the main campus is great. Small school, but great setting, with a nice familial feeling. I would totally recommend it for people studying in the area.”

“Little Canyon Inn is precious! The room was so comfortable and well-stocked. They had a specific bathroom towel for removing makeup (amazing), there was a coffee station with delicious creamer, and the back patio was so cute! The bed was super plush, too. Location-wise it’s perfectly situated between the Royal Gorge Bridge & Park and downtown Cañon City. We wish we would have booked a longer stay!”
