“We have spent the last 12 years enjoying the many programs The Congregational Church of New Canaan has to offer. It started with lower school choir and from there it grew into church school and ultimately their amazing Youth Group program that included collectively 6 mission trips and many incredible community experiences along the way. I love this church as they meet everyone where they are in their faith journey. This church has offered everyone in my family something different and amazing and I am grateful for all that they do for me, my family and our community.”

“Not a new building at all - opened in 1971 and renovated around 2000, but very modern design.”

“I can't thank this pediatric office enough! The doctors, nurses, and receptionists are simply amazing. They saved my son's life by detecting an issue early on and getting us to Yale Hospital for treatment. Throughout my sons cancer journey, they provided unwavering support and care. The ladies at the front desk are always respectful and caring. Grateful beyond words! 🙏❤️”

“I have had been fortunate to know and refer clients to John Engel and The Engel Team. He and his team exude excellence, knowledge and commitment. With his wife Melissa, his Mother Susan, they are truly a family run team and that is how they treat each and every client, like family. They are attentive to every detail, no matter how big or small. Always such stellar feed back from all who have had the pleasure of working with them. A real powerhouse in New Canaan, CT and surrounding areas. They are truly connected to their community and giving back, from being a member of the Planning & Zoning Commission,The Rotary, Club, Chairman of the Town Council to The New Canaan Land Trust. John and his team know and are connected to this town like no one else. His weekly Podcast, Boroughs and & Burbs, a real estate conversation is always informative and entertaining. John is a class act with his stylist suits and signature bowtie. He is unforgettable. If you are looking for an agent that will go above and beyond for your Real Estate needs, I highly recommend John Engel and his Team.”

“Excellent, informative tour. I was surprised we were allowed to enter the glass house. There are longer tours so you can see some of the other buildings too. I do not recommend the 3 hr, no-tour entry, unless you are already very well-versed in the history of the grounds and of Phillip Johnson. Our guide Perrie was very knowledgeable and personable. Parking is $4/day in town-there is no free parking anywhere so don't bother trying. You may need to walk 4+blocks to get to the offices/retail shop for the Glass House so leave yourself time. Check in at the store, and when it's time, you board a larger, comfortable van and drive several miles away. The driver is a bit of a maniac. This was my least favorite part. You will not be able to enter the property by any other means as it is fenced and gated. While there is no hiking required, you should be healthy enough to stand for an hour, with some walking on stone-grit paths and grass, with slight inclines. There are no bathrooms on the grounds but you will be offered bathroom use at the store before you leave. This is NOT appropriate for children-in fact, must be over 10 years old. As a schoolteacher, I would not recommend this to any young person unless they have an interest in architecture or the modern and post-modern style, or if they are very curious by nature. Parents, also please keep in mind, that people travel from all over the country to take this tour-will they have the experience they planned for while your child is also on the tour? Cam your child remain solemn and distraction-free for the length of the tour? If not, Grace Farms is 7 miles away and may be a better place to visit. There is no touching allowed at all, and it is all talking and looking, with historical details of the era and of Philip Johnson's life and that of his contemporaries.”

“Lucy is a wonderful movement teacher—a rare quality these days. She is patient and as focused on the details of placement as she is on the dynamics of the flow. I had always wanted to learn Tai Chi—learn it in a way that comes to inhabit one—and Lucy has made it possible for me to get much closer to my goal of making Tai Chi a permanent part of my life. She is also particularly good about making clear what the various moves/forms are called, and why—including what their martial origins are—and additionally helps students understand the importance and function of the 12 meridians through which the qi flows. If you want to learn Tai Chi, you could not have a better instructor than Lucy.”

“New Canaan is pretty baron for shy kids who don't love sports and this is the perfect, creative outlet which provides camaraderie. I've watched my son grow hugely in confidence because of School of Rock. Big shout out to Tyler who was there from the start and showed encouragement and support every step of the way. Also, Brian who is now honing his keyboard skills so he gets to play with his Dad's band. Not forgetting Todd who is always welcoming - incredibly inspiring staff. Best thing we ever did.”
