“This day was BLT and chips with my usual cup of coffee. The BLT here was loaded with bacon - my favorite part. ???? Lettuce was green and crisp and tomatoes firm and delicious. ???? Oddly, the dill pickle (not usually the highlight of a meal) was sour in a way a dill pickle should be. ???? My boss had eggs with smoked salmon and rye toast. Said it was prepared very well. ???? A third member of our party had a BLT as well. The only thing I would have preferred was fries instead of kettle chips - ???? but, then again, they wouldn't be a Hollywood Grill if they had done that. ???? Our server was pleasant although I didn't catch her name ???? and didn't want to seem absent-minded in asking her again. ???? If you're in the mood for a great time at lunch go to HG!!! ????????????Kudos to Hollywood Grill for making my lunch today an excellent one!!! ????”

“The customer service I experienced here I didn’t even think existed anymore! Due to an emergency, there was a slight “issue” with my order, I use that term very lightly because I didn’t think it was an issue at all but because she did she went over and beyond to fix it! My small order was just as important to her as the wedding order she had the same day and I could truly feel that. To top it off not only did the cupcakes look great they tasted AMAZING!!! I can’t wait to use the sweetest rose cupcake company for my next event.”

“Went on Saturday night with out a reservation and was able to sit at a table in the bar area and get the full menu. Food was delicious. My steak was cooked perfect (Get the Gorgonzola Garlic). Not a large selection in the beer department so I went with a margarita on the rocks and it had to much sour mix. It's always hard to find a good margarita. Our service was good. Meal was good and the atmosphere was good so it was a great night.”

“Although it has been a few years since I patronized the Claymont Steak Shop, I remember it as a busy but accommodating restaurant staffed by friendly, knowledgeable folks who's goal is to make you the perfect sandwich. If you want to sit down in a plain, diner/restaurant, sandwich shop with a nice, fresh (more on that in a bit), and well prepared food; give Claymont Steak Shop a chance. With hundreds of different foods, from starters, soups and salads through main meal to dessert; their literally is something for everyone. If you want to pick up your meal, make sure to call or order online at least 30 minutes to one hour in advance. Weekend afternoons and nights are busy. Regarding ordering online; these folks have developed a nice "order online" drop down menu. Their menu is available online for download and prior perusal. Obviously, as the name clearly stated, they are best known for their steak sandwiches and cheesesteaks. None of those chopped, processed, flash frozen sheets of "meat paper" served at so many shops. Each day they prepare, by slicing, fresh, Grade A beef. It is sliced thin and is never tough or chewy. Simply the best Steak Sandwich in Delaware and now, not only in Claymont but also in Wilmington and Newark!”
