(January 1, 2019, 9:09 am)Coach Chris and the crew here are rock solid. Whenever I'm in the area on vacation, I certainly make it a point to stop in and get some work in. Chris is definitely NOT a one dimensional practitioner and coach. His skills are multi faceted, and his passion to help his students and others is admirable. If you're in the area, definitely give these folks a look!
(October 3, 2018, 9:03 pm)Dropped into Rip Tide for some crosstraining today with my son. I really cannot say enough good things about coach Chris. He is an excellent high-level instructor and communicates difficult techniques with the kids very effectively. My son had a great time and learned a new judo throw. We look forward to crosstraining here in the future.
(November 5, 2016, 7:49 pm)I came down from Pittsburgh for vacation and I call up Shawn if I can train with them for week and right away he said yes. Riptide Jiu Jitsu feels very welcoming and place is very clean and safe to train. Excelente knowledge and next time I am in town I will be visiting riptide jiu jitsu again .
(July 18, 2012, 11:19 am)I have Been an active member here for almost 2 years and have loved every minute of it. I have lost close to 40 lbs and have not really changed my diet at all. I feel great I am stronger and I am a much better Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner. Rip Tide Martial Arts has a great friendly staff and great knowledgeable instructors who can take someone like me who started with 0 experience in grappling to being a strong practitioner.
(December 7, 2011, 1:14 pm)Riptide is World Class Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! Shawn Bodio is an expert instructor, great training partner and example for all lower belt ranks. I'm glad to say that I have had the opportunity to learn from both Shawn and his students. I recommend Riptide 100%, but go see for yourself, you will not regret it!
