“A busy spot with lots of energy and fun staff. Starbucks coffee is the same everywhere but the atmosphere here makes the visit worth it.”

“WOW! I had the mushroom calamari, sautéed spinach, and a chocolate adult milkshake - yum!. I took a gluten-free chocolate cupcake to go. WOW!! The cupcake was the best I’ve ever, the most flavorful dark chocolate cake, truly amazing!! Don't miss this fantastic vegan spot.”

“The National Cathedral is a place of solemn worship and meditation, and the cozy, rustic environment of the Open City Cafe is a meaningful addition to it. It also provides amazing coffees, pastries and paninis, if you're seeking earthly nourishment instead of just spiritual fulfillment, and they're really good at it. While there is no table service, they do bring the food to your table, and they use fresh ingredients as far as I can tell. Highly recommend, for either a coffee or lunch proper.”

“The best museum food I've ever seen. We were just trying to get a quick bite during our museum visit but when we saw the menu we had to order a full meal. We had the ribs with coleslaw and potato salad plus chicken tenders with fries. Everything was beyond delicious! Restaurant quality food. We would come back here just to eat again. There's a lot of seating available and the menu truly has something for everybody. We highly recommend checking out the museum and if you're there do Not skip this cafe.”

“We went here for brunch a little after 11 and only had to wait about 7 mins for a seat outside. The staff is very responsive and friendly. Our food was finger licking good. And there is a ton to see in the area. Walk off your delicious meal and visit some of the 50+ plus stores only 7 mins walk away.”

“Newly remodeled with kiosks. My rating on the food is only because I'm not partial to McDonalds, not that it tastes bad. The atmosphere rating reflects the loitering .”

“Friendliest staff! They offer Starbucks Reserve drinks, and a 2nd floor outdoor patio space.”

“This 5 star review is for the Assistant Store Director only. I work as an EMT in DC. This morning my partner and I went into see if this location was honoring the discounted cup of coffee for first responders. The barista who was there was very rude, rolled her eyes, and was short with not only my partner and I, but with the customers in front of us. She very rudely told my partner the discount ended the 30th and they would not honor a cup of coffee. My partner and I then walked out and got chased down by the Safeway Assistant Store Director who asked what had happened and why we left. We explained we thought the discount was still going on since we had recently gotten a cup of coffee a couple days prior at another location. The Assistant Director then urged us to please come back in and he would offer the deal as he had not received any memo regarding discontinuing the discount. I wish I had gotten the gentleman's name, but I thank you sir for displaying such great customer service. My partner and I appreciate the cup of coffee this morning as it is already starting off a busy day. To the Barista who was rude, rolling her eyes, complaining through every step of pouring iced coffee into a cup for my partner and I... I think if you want to stay in the customer service industy, you should review your company values and learn how to at least act politely. -Your local EMT and former Starbucks Barista”

“Good quality food served in a modern, clean, and bright dining space, but prices are (unsurprisingly) a bit steep. There aren't a lot of food options around so if you're visiting Kennedy Center and don't want to spend a lot on food, just bring your own provisions or eat before arriving.”

“What could make a famous book store like Politics and Prose better? Answer, a yummy coffee shop. Actually misleading to call this a coffee shop. It also serves a variety of wines, beers and savory dishes. The cold peanut noodles are delicious on a hot summer's day. Stay for the books, the food, or both!”

“My whole house just awoke from a prolonged food coma. We don't know how long it's been or what happened to us, but what's clear is that this food shook the very foundations of our world. Please order from here immediately. Every dish was fresh and delicious. The absolute greatest things were the drumsticks, Asian style beef, egg rolls, fried chicken, chicken salad and steak and cheese. All of the side dishes were outstanding. We got plenty of sauces, extra corn bread, extra cake and banana bread. It's safe to say that we're all thoroughly shocked and need time to recover. Thank you Sandra, and welcome to the top of our favorites list Senbeb ???????? -the Love and Solidarity Collective (aka the Longing-for-more Senbeb Collective)”

“I've been coming here consistently over the past 3 years and have always been impressed with the staff. Always very friendly and efficient. My only complaint is that it can sometimes be hard to catch their attention to give me my online order pickup, since they store orders behind the counter. Otherwise, I've had nothing but good service here.”

“This place is specious, beautiful and full at cute little edible knick knacks! I would totally recommend this as a date adventure with that special someone or even to impress a family member. Their food is delicious and beautiful and most importantly pocket friendly.”

“Incredible student run business. The salads, avocado toast, and sandwiches always hit just right. Definitely the best place to grab a bite to eat on Georgetown’s campus. And what lovely employees!”

“Went to Cafe U at about 8am on a weekday. Fantastic service and great food. I got the lox with an everything bagel and it was fantastic. At $8 it is such a steal. The drip coffee was great as well. Good flavor and not burned. It's the neighborhood breakfast spot now. I'll be coming back often.”

“All the bakery items were delicious. You find the taste of France ???????? here. They have sandwiches but I didn’t try any so no comments.”

“So. Good. My boyfriend is a bit picky about his Chinese takeout (he lived in China for a few years, to be fair), but he LOVED this place! Their dumplings are amazing. Singapore noodles are the bomb. Fried rice is killer. Do it.”

“This restaurant is fantastic. I stop frequently for coffee and pastries to go and bring my family on Sundays for breakfast before the Palisades farmer's market. The staff are friendly and hard-working. All of the menu items that we have tried are delicious. In 6 months of regular visits, we have had only exceptional experiences. This is exactly the sort of place that was needed in the neighborhood.”

“One of my business's best kept secrets -- such an underrated venue to work (or even just hang out) in. My favorite place to work when I need to get out of my home office.”

“Lots of great lunch options. The Chinese food is very good and so is the salad bar. They also have a little deli that makes very good sandwiches. The soups options are very good as well. I would recommend to stay away from the sushi.”

“Considering the volume of business that this location handles, the service was good, the food was hot and tasted good. I don't even like McDonald's. But, in a pinch, it worked out.”

“The prices at the Courtyard Cafe are a little high (as with any place to eat in virtually any museum in DC), but it's a great spot to grab a coffee and do some writing or work on a laptop. The courtyard in the Portrait Gallery is one of the best spots in DC, hands-down.”
