“The hotel is beautiful. The rooms were clean nicely appointed and felt modern. The staff were friendly and relatively helpful though I believe there was a slight language barrier between myself and the desk clerk. While the hotel is older it seemed neither antique nor run down but instead classic. It is a throwback to Golden days past. In the present the Sheldon sits right in the middle of a vibrant public beach and boardwalk. A few sandy barefoot steps to the left or right and you will find amazing open air dining, a public pavilion, concert stage, a delicious ice cream shop, beautiful women, and an even more beautiful beach. If you have young children I may suggest a slightly more family friendlyarea like Coco Beach or really I'd try the gulf coast. Navarre or Mary Esther are both beautiful and tame.”

“Friendly and fun spot. Most weeknights you can find good live music from a variety of cool characters. The Tiki- type bar facing the ocean is great hang for locals and tourists. The rooms themselves are clean, straight-forward and unfussy. The fact that you can literally stumble out of your door and onto the beach trumps fancy towel animals or mints on your pillow.”

“Very cheap beers, tiki hut by the ocean and all the sun or shade you need depending on your state of "tan" - perfect for a day turned evening at the beach. Don't expect any food other then bags of chips for sale, but don't worry there are plenty of places close by where you can grab a bite if you start to get hungry. You can also bring food by, sit down at one of their tables on the broadwalk, grab a beer or a also cheap (typically around $5 plus happy hour and other specials happening all the time) frozen concoction at the bar and people watch as the sun goes down. It's chill, it's light, make some new friends, get some sun, feel like you are on vacation whether you are or not! It's a perfect place for it.”
