This review took me time to place. Not because I was dissatisfied, but because I was so impressed. There were other realtors that were highly recommended and experienced, but we didn’t hit that “vibe.” I found a connection with Yahira Montano of Coldwell Banker Vanguard Realty. From our first face-to-face, we were in step. She got this real estate surfer into actual houses, walking properties, envisioning a home. She organized my short list quickly and without error. In the end, I bought my house just days after walking through the front door.

Coleen Baggett is who you want as your realtor! She has become more of a friend than a realtor through this process. She has been a shoulder to whine and cry, and sometimes curse on, because buying a home can be an emotional process – especially when it’s your first home like it is for me! It’s a HUGE investment, it’s where you will lay your head down at night to sleep, where you’ll celebrate and grieve, and be your safe haven. Choosing a home is one of the most important decisions you’ll make.
Coleen has been answering my questions about home buying for years now; she never blew me off even knowing we weren’t in a serious financial place to purchase a home.
I’m a nurse and I believe in advocating for my patients. I advocate to ensure their needs are met and to navigate them through situations in which they may not fully understand. I love advocating and helping others. Coleen advocated for us during this process; she listened to our wants and desires, to what was important for me, for my husband, and for our family. I know nothing of real estate, so her advocating for us meant so much to me! When things weren’t what we would accept from the seller, she advocated harder. When our home appraised at a much lower price than expected, she didn’t simply say “okay” and give us bad news. She explained what happened, she told us to hold tight and give her time. She advocated for the appraisal to be reconsidered; she did research as to why the appraised amount may not have been accurate and presented the information to the appraiser. She took extra time to fight on our behalf and literally saved us 10k. In all, because of her, we are saving close to 25k on this home purchase.
Her referrals have all exceeded our expectations and been absolutely amazing. Professional people who are also kind and execute their task flawlessly. We used Daniel Halvorsen with Bank of England as our lender and Jeff McKinney with Grey Inspections for our home inspections; both referrals by Coleen.
For full disclosure, I have known Coleen for almost a decade when we both worked the service industry. Our favorite bartender at Mellow! I remember her taking the dive into real estate, what feels like yesterday, but was quite a few years ago. I am beyond proud at how she has excelled and also impressed at how she excelled.
And since Coleen recognized how this home buying process has been a roller coaster along with life in general, I have to tell you that one day I had a small card in the mailbox. From Coleen with a sweet note of encouragement to ME and a gift card. It was completely unexpected and it touched my heart.
There are so many realtors out there. There are some who have more experience than Coleen. But I will recommend her to any and everyone because again, she has been absolutely amazing during this process. She has been our rock and my husband and I so greatly appreciate all that she has done.
