“Dr. Marcos completed a root canal on a tooth that had 4 roots. I believe he is a good endodontist but the Greenberg Dental office can be difficult to contact. Here is my experience. 1/30/23 - Visited general dentist in Middleburg for a toothache. Dentist said I needed a root canal and referred me to Dr. Marcos. Dentist also prescribed me antibiotics, but that alone did not resolve the tooth infection. My gum above the infected tooth started to swell. 2/20/23 - Initial visit to Dr Marcos. After additional X-rays, he informed me I had an abscess and needed the root canal redone. However, he said it was possible tooth was cracked. He left it up to me to decide on root canal or extraction. I told him I would think about it. Next day his receptionist called me and said Dr Marcos wanted me to have a 3D. X-ray, no additional cost, to better determine if tooth was cracked. 3/1 it was done. Next day Dr. Marcos talked to me on phone and said it did not appear to be a crack. His explanation was thorough and he answered all my questions. I had expressed concern that the tooth already had a root canal about 25 years back. He explained that sometimes they have to be redone, but again the success rate was not 100%. Left it up to me to decide, no pressure. After much reading, I decided to try and save the tooth since root canal would cost ~$850, while extraction and implant would cost about $5,000. 3/15/23 Dr Marcos completed the root canal. In the process, he discovered the original root canal was completed only on 3 of 4 roots and not all the way to the tip of the root. He re-did all 3 root canals and the additional 4th root canal. He used an electrical measuring device to ensure it was all the way to the tip. The procedure was very long. My back ached even though I was reclined. The assistant mentioned that her back was hurting as well. I'm sure it was strenuous for Dr Marcos as well and he had more patients to follow after me. He prescribed me antibiotics and said to take OTC pain relievers as needed along with other post root canal care instructions. My tooth was tender for about 2 weeks, but the bump in my gum from the abscess receded. About a month after the RC, I no longer have any pain or tenderness. Tooth is back to normal and I can chew on hard food without issues. I did find that when I called the Greenberg Dental office, the receptionist seldom answered and I had to leave voicemails. They would return the call in 1-2 days. However, I am confident that Dr Marcos is a good Endodondist. He was thorough, answered all my questions, let me decide on the course of action and completed a well done root canal.”

“I was a bit skeptical about what to expect of this visit. The front office staff were fairly new and still learning their jobs but very nice. The issue they struggled with the most was our insurance. Once we got there, gave them our insurance and the letter stating they are our assigned Dentist then it went smoother. We had our x-rays and a consult with Dr Park who was nice. I will be back to see her again. We then had our teeth cleaned by Ashley who is super nice and very good at her job. Overall, this is a good dental office, just need to give them time to work out any issues.”
